Is there an ACTUAL vanilla+ mod pack?

(What I have tried so far)

* I tried just bare bones tales of two wastelands way back but it was buggy.

* Recently thanks to the wonderful wabbajack I got the begin again mod.

(My big issues)

* Tales of two wastelands is just for some reason simply not stable for me. I've tried dozens of things and I WILL NOT continue to waste time trying to make it work.

* I'm begin again. There's just too many extra tid bits in that pack that are clearly someone's personal opinion of how they wanted the game to be and less of just an enhanced vanilla.

* I don't have the mod experience to shift through all the mods as there is a lot.

* The change in all the modifiers and stats. Like damage resistance, damage taken and giving.

* My armor is shredded in a few shots and my helmet doesn't last one simple engagement and my health is almost gone on three hits despite perks I have that should make this not as bad.

* ONE OF MY BIGGEST ISSUES that I have posted in the tales of two wasteland reddit AND the begin again discord and no one seems to have an answer for is basically every encounter in the outside world is an apex predators.

Yes I am lvl 35 in the capital wasteland. But it seemed to have replaced all the vanilla creatures of that area with the elite versions or other creatures entirely.

Where mole rats once roamed I have sentry bots and death claws. Raiders all have advanced gear. Overlords all over with auto grenade launchers.

(What I liked and looking for)

* Begin again is Very solid and stable for me I like that part.

* Adding good iron sights

* Enhanced graphics

* Sprinting

* Aiming around corners

* Combining the perks and choosing starts completely understandable since it's two games in one.

* Choosing what level up style you prefer

Does anyone know where the power scaling settings are?

Four albino rads, two death claws, one sentry bot, two mutant masters and three raiders in power armer plus three mk 2 level talon company ambushes in one walk from megaton to arefu.

That's not power scaling that's just ridiculous.

It's harder to accomplish achievements and missions that require killing smaller critters and level people.

There knocking unconscious every roaming trader. I've had to reload a few times because people in big town are getting killed.

Edit: I am level 35. I have not added any mods to the initial begin again mod list.

I've only changed two things one in settings one in the Benny humbles you ini. The two things are The level cap and being able to get my stuff back when I go to New Vegas.

Question. What would you do in my situation?

So I am playing the begin again version of Tales. I've already maxed out level 35 and I'm still in the capital wasteland with still a decent amount to explore and some dlc. You level up fast when you don't fast travel and kill every little thing.

Anyways. I have all these level 100 locks I wanna get. But I can't level up anymore. And I could not max out them anyways without one more in my perks.

Should I just go to nv just to get the reset and stuff then go right back to the capital and finish up?

Skill point question.

I am playing the begin again mod pack in jabba and I can't put my repair skill past 85. But! I will need to in order to get a perk I want the requirement is repair 90.

Why is this a thing?

How do I change it?

Thank you in advanced.

Clothing and armor gives you special dialogue?

I have played Skyrim since it came out. I was today years old. 35 lol. That someone told me that the reason why my character doesn't tell thieves when they approach me that I am with the guild is because I stopped wearing the armor.

Is this true?

And if this is true, does other armor give you special dialogue?

I am very well aware that different people, especially the guards will make comments on your different clothing and weapons.

But I was unaware that your own dialogue was affected by clothing. If it's true.

Question about a judge taking an extremely long time to make a decision.

So I live in Rochester NY. Monroe county. I had a misfire incident Aug 6th of 2025. It is now June 25th 2026 for those who may come to this post years from now.

The case was close and sealed. No problems.

How ever. The judge proceeding on what to do with my permit has still not made a decision. I have called and left messages. I have spoken to the secretary who said they would ask.

Nothing. No responses. No call backs. No letters.

Is there anything I can do?

Ok I think this is a big but I need help with sneaking.

I am playing a khajit. Currently level 52. Sneak is 100. I have all the perks except the last two. I have the ancient shrouded armor all legendary no other modifications. Wielding the blade of woe and mehrunes razor also legendary.

Occasionally the bow of shadows also legendary which also has its own bug. Randomly started happening.

Anyways. For awhile I could walk right towards someone crouched and no one would see me. Now I have to move super super slow from the back or side (and still soemtimes I get seen) as if I have no sneaking experience.

I'm not sure what happened.

I also have the night weavers band on AND necklace of major sneaking.

This is not my first time playing a sneak character. Hell one time I did a ninja orc. With heavy armor. Bow and massive ax or hammer.

That was a long time ago. So this is all new.

Also this is the special edition and the only mods besides stuff that came with it in the creation club is the bug fix mod. Forgot what it's called.

Edit: I have completed all thieves guild and dark brotherhood missions.

And I change into the emperor's robes and fine shoes when I enter towns. Ya know like the fine traveling jewelry salesman that I am.

Other than that I don't mess around much with anything.

Edit 2: oh no. Now not only does the bow of shadows not actually make me invisible (or maybe it is but not giving me the animation)

But shadowcloak of nocturnal as well. It makes the noises like it's going on and off but I can still see me and it says I'm still seen by others.

Back when I first got the bow. I could put that thing on and I would disappear from a target.

Don't hate me for double posting today I rarely do it. But something I wish happens in total war Warhammer fantasy in the future.

So I have an idea that expands on TW:WH series. Without focusing on one map.

I think like previous tws it would be great to Make a few. Let me elaborate.

Also I am aware the chances of it happening are low.

I am also I am aware there's a lot of the current map missing. Which some people complain about and some people complain it's too big as is. I am about to tackle all of that.

In total wars we have always usually had multiple modes/campaigns.

So for a massive expansion this is what I am thinking.

Five modes.

(1) Lore mode. You play a small RPG style total war campaign where you progress and learn the lore of that LL. Some will be short. Some long. This will give you a skippable guide to that lord and faction as well as give you a ton of cool lore.

(2) Empire mode. Empire mode is the entire map where you play as the chosen LLs. Where they left off in lore mode. But now sandbox style. Empire mode brings back old total war gameplay, that has some empires starting much larger than others.

(3) FFA mode. That is basically what we have now on campaign. You can have exactly what we have now or click random in the settings and all starting positions will be random.

(4) Conquest mode. Conquest is more map area focused so instead of the whole map. It might just be Cathay or the old world. Maybe just lustria. You can also have random placement or lore placement in settings.

(5) Creation mode. You create a character, you choose how many settlements you get and what factions are in the game with how many settlements they have. I take this idea from romance of the Three kingdoms xi. I don't expect you to be able to create 250 characters like that game. And have family ties and friendship ties and alter stats really deeply and stuff.

A simple creation without it being to taxing on CA is you pick a race. Pick a base lord and a LL from that race. And there's your stats and skills basically. Maybe a few face and clothing choices.

(In closing) Creation mode might be too big of an ask but the rest has already basically existed in one way or another in total wars. Seeing as TW:WH is profitable for CA I think it's a good investment. Could always add the other modes as small priced dlcs to make sure there's a return.

With 40k on the horizon I am sure they will make good on that. But eventually. Like others do now. People will go back to older titles. Adopting the care and love for your creations like paradox or stardock does and continues to update old games. Shows us fans a lot.

Discussion of mechanics that AI have and don't have.

5 questions. Before commenting discuss below. I'm very curious.

(**1**) What mechanics does the player have as a faction that the AI does not have, that they should have?

(**2**) What mechanics does AI have that they should not have?

(**3**) What mechanics should be removed from the game completely?

(**4**) What mechanics need to be in the game for sure.

(**5**) Does you batch of mechanic changes help, fix or worsen power creep?

Funniest thing I unfortunately did not get on camera.

I am sorry my brothers and sisters of Skyrim. I failed you.

I dropped off my jazbay to sarethi farm, and as I was walking away I started to hear some commotion. I turn around and see the red little dot on my radar.

I ran up the hill to see a troll getting blasted by lighting by one farmer and the other fighting back with a dagger.

I'm like oh snap they are wrecking that troll I don't even need to help.

One more zap and the troll is on its hands and knees. I'm waiting for another to follow and finish the job.

When out of the bush. Like stone cold Steve Austin the greatest wrestler of the 90s with a steel chair running to the ring.

A GOAT. Yes an actual goat. Smashes the troll and takes it out.

It didn't run at all it was sitting watching the fight and I was kinda noticing it but did not expect that ending.

The one day I don't have my steam set to record and one of the funniest things I've seen in my own games happens.

EDIT: It looks like a lot of people are experiencing goat phenomenons. I have also randomly been jumped by goats. I'm wondering if it's part of an update. I thought goats were only bad asses in Spyro and Red Dead 2. Anyone know of any change to the goats?

How can we make pirates more...piratey?

I thought pirates would be heading in a better direction after Aislinn was released. But it does not seem so.

I am just not feeling like pirates have enough of a pirate style feel.

Maybe give them an ocean raiding stance?

I'm not sure what we could do to make them feel more like the rebels of the sea?

Side note I think this means alberic and Lokhir should get a change as well.

Just not sure what.

Anyone you confederate, you should have one building in a specific settlement for that faction that gives you their special units. Explanation in the details.

Examples. If I am grimgor and I take a specific settlement in the badlands. I can recruit savage orcs.

I feel like if I am Tyrion and I confederate Alarielle the Radiant, Alith Anar or even Eltharion the Grim. I should have a settlement on the map that if I take it I can recruit those special units they have.

I do understand and know that you don't have to confederate wurrzag to get the savage orcs.

I also understand that the savage orcs stats are way inferior to the units in question for HE. Or some of the other special recruitable units like the ones in dwarves (which any dawi LL can get grudge units) or empire special units. And to many of the others that could be examples. But it still stands.

Edit: I agree it makes each LL more unique. The compromise someone posted I agree with. Is maybe a very strict very small unit cap.

Need help upvoting a verified bug. Athel Tamarha prison and Warden's Cage related.

I recently posted a reddit post found here. All the details are in the bug report but here are some images in the reddit post. also in the report.

I went to see if this bug had been reported and it was with skarbrand and closed. So it seems this is just a bug with capturing demons after some digging.

So I opened a new bug report just now found here.

Lore Question on the oldest being on the planet.

So I read a bunch of the wikis. I'm too broke to buy any books at the moment.

But In Warhammer fantasy lore. Who is older. The celestial dragon, krakanrok the black, or kalgalanos the black?

I think in one of them they said dragon (edit) ogres are older than the dragons. But I don't think they meant the dragons of the east.
