I was traveling alone by bus and underground in London by around 10 yo in the mid 70s. My Dad lived in Central London, my Mum was still in South London at the family home, and my school was in North London, where we were moving, so I was with Dad during the week, commuting to school, and then went to Mum's at the weekend until we moved.

By the time I was in secondary school most of my school friends took the bus and/or underground to school in North London.

I took my daughter on public transport in London from birth in the mid 2000s so she knew her way around, but I didn't really expect her to travel alone before she was a teenager because none of her friends did.

Sorry if this isn't the place, but I'm just kind of curious, I guess it comes under 'safety'?

What’s my daughter’s situation regarding child support checks received but not cashed?

Under the terms of my divorce Child Support was payable directly to my now 20 yo daughter, after her 18th birthday, and until her 21st birthday while she remained in education.  

She is not currently in education.  Since leaving school, she has not cashed any checks that have arrived. She did not inform the child support agency.

We recently received letters from the child support agency notifying us that child support has been suspended as she is not attending school.

As far as the child support agency is concerned the payments cannot be refunded because they're already billed.

So, what happens if she cashes the checks?

There’s a nutria that walks through my yard, leaves scat, and doubtless will eat my vegetables, what can I do?

We separated 5 years ago and divorced 4 years ago. He has had virtually no contact with our daughter since I left the family home with her.

He was paying child support, but she dropped out of school and he’s just received a letter informing him that child support is no longer required and he’s mad as hell and wants to know what’s going on.

Do I have any obligation to him?

My great grandmother got pregnant out of wedlock and the story is that the father is a renowned author who lived nearby at the time. I’m not aware that the writer had any other children. This would have been in 1905. My grandmother’s birth certificate is blank for father.

I'm seeing posts on Twitter about a protest against Hamas planned in Gaza for June 26, can the protestors expect to be seen and heard by world media? Why don't these protests get much coverage or support from around the world, surely everyone would wish peace and freedom for the people of Gaza which they can never achieve under the vice grip of Hamas.

Why aren't the people waving placards to Free Palestine excited to free them from Hamas's grip?

I’ve been putting off changing the cat litter since Friday. 2 litter boxes for 3 indoor cats. I clean out clumps regularly, but changing out for fresh litter is an operation!! What did you get to that you’ve been putting off?
