Russian Anti-Putin artist Semyon Skrepetsky, 44, whose real name was Robert Kuzovkov was shot five times, including wounds to the head and chest, and died at the scene

Robert Kuzovkov, also known as Semyon Skrepetsky, had lived in Poland since 2021 after leaving Russia out of fear of political persecution. That fear stemmed from his artwork criticizing Putin. In one painting, Robert depicted Putin as an infant being held by Stalin, while a Russian flag appeared discarded in a bin.

Some have speculated that his death may have been the result of an operation ordered by Kadyrov, especially because three days earlier, on June 12, Russia Day, Robert protested outside the Russian embassy in Berlin, possibly displeasing Putin.

For now, Robert’s death remains surrounded by unanswered questions. He fled Russia because he feared political persecution, yet even in exile, he may not have been safe. Until there is a full and transparent investigation, his death will remain not only a tragedy, but a possible injustice. What do you think this case says about the safety of political dissidents living abroad?

Is banning children under 16 from social media the best way to protect them, or could it end up making them even more vulnerable online?

I'm not a parent, but as someone with younger siblings, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply social media can affect a child. It has honestly made me feel that when I have kids, I won’t want them on social media or constantly using electronic devices. But then I think about myself as a teenager who was rebellious, curious, and very capable of getting around my parents’ rules (lol). I can only wonder, does banning social media actually protect children, or does it make them more determined to access it in secret? And if they do, could they end up on platforms even more dangerous than Instagram or X? I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts, especially from people in Australia and the UK who have experience with these kinds of bans.

DRC Ebola Outbreak Now Third Deadliest Ever. Health officials have confirmed 782 Ebola cases, including 181 deaths.

The World Health Organization declared a public health emergency of international concern for an Ebola outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus (1 of 4 orthobolavirus species known to cause disease in humans) back on May 17, 2026. Now, as of June 15, 2026, Ebola cases have raised the question of whether this crisis in DRC is a direct result of U.S. aid cuts or a consequence of decades of regional instability.

UK Launches Meningitis B Vaccine Drive for 1M Young People.

This is followed by the increase in meningitis outbreaks, specifically the unprecedented cluster in Kent in March of this year, 2026, that sadly took the lives of two teenagers. The two victims were a Year 13 pupil at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Faversham and a University of Kent student, believed to be aged 17 and 21 respectively. Some suspected that the outbreak is not by chance, given that borders and migrant transit camps create exactly the conditions for diseases like this to take hold on British soil. Others say that the Kent meningitis outbreak fits the classic pattern of university clusters, where young people are in close-contact settings, not some imported crisis. So is the Meningitis B vaccine a smart, targeted response or an incomplete fix that leaves too many young people unprotected?

Texas: Smugglers Plead Guilty in Mexico Crash That Killed 55 Migrants and left 100 Migrants injured inside the truck.

Hearing about a tragedy, such as 55 migrants killed, is already upsetting, but imagine the countless families that were affected by this disaster alone. The countless children who were left parentless, or parents who were left childless, because there were unaccompanied minors in the back of the truck. And yes, some may say that the migrants were at fault, knowing the risks of crossing the border. But does that mean that they deserved to lose their lives? Did they deserve to be treated like cattle? Being packed shoulder to shoulder with no air ventilation? The ones at fault are the smugglers for taking advantage of desperate people, creating tragedies such as this one, which occurred back in 2021, and victims are barely getting justice today in 2026.

How come it's taken us so long to ban carriage rides in NYC?? I don't know much about NYC culture, but is it even important to it or historic for it to have gone on for so long?

Does JNIM’s €2M bounty on President Goïta suggest that Mali’s military government is losing control, or is this mainly a propaganda move meant to weaken the junta’s legitimacy?

Seeing how there are two narratives on the issue, this could be a propaganda move by the pro-government narrative as "Mali's military government is proving its staying power by pressing ahead with major development projects — including a $70.5 million electricity deal," (RT) or could this be a real government critic as BBC News states, "Mali's junta has spent years promising security while JNIM grows stronger, surrounds Bamako with blockades and kills senior officials in their own homes." What do you guys think?
