Experienced nurseryman here. I run a retail operation and next year will begin wholesaling. Wondering if I should open it as a separate LLC with a different name.
Thinking that if I branded/labeled wholesale plants that I sell to other retailers, they might shy away because a competitor’s name (i.e. my nursery) is on their plants.
I could also just label the plants without my company name, which at this point I’m inclined to do.
Does anyone on this sub have experience or insights on adding a wholesale division to a retail business?

I run a small-scale landscaping business that is steadily growing, carrying zero debt, and getting business solely by referrals.
After 10 years of slow growth, I’m looking to put my foot on the gas and pursuing leads. The university down here has a great landscape architecture program. Wondering: Is it worth my time to start cold-calling firms, offering our services? My team is only 5 people so our niche would be smaller residential and commercial projects.
LA hands us design, we source plants, hardscaping etc and execute.
The state has a database of licensed LA’s and I’m thinking of starting there.

I run a bamboo farm and am interested in distilling essential oil from its leaves for perfume. Does anyone have experience using bamboo for this purpose? I’ve seen essential oils commercially available but know nothing else about it.

My friend, it is time. Your career peaked a long time ago, and are not going to reach the heights you did in your 20s. Keep playing music, but consider alternative forms of income.
Work at an art museum, teach music in a school, get a degree and do something completely new….

The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a missing woman who is considered endangered.
Emily Weston, 46, was reported missing after leaving her home early Friday morning. Investigators say she was last seen around 4 a.m. Weston is described as a white, 5 feet 9 inches tall with blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black V-neck T-shirt, blue jeans, and a blue shawl. Police say her family and investigators are concerned for her well-being and are urging anyone who may have seen her or knows where she is to come forward. Anyone with information about Weston's whereabouts is asked to contact NOPD Fifth District Detective Marcus Norman or the Fifth District Investigative Unit.
