frustrated - nse test fails

I'm absolutely frustrated with myself and fortinet test... Been working on Fortinet Gates for well over 15 years back when it was release 4.

back in January 2026, failed the NSE7 Enterprise 6.4 twice.

Today, failed NSE4 Admin 7.6

WTF am I doing wrong? I went through the online self training, yesterday, spent 11 hours to go through the whole training (accelerated).

No I haven't used test preps as with my past experience, they are shit !

what else could I do? I haven't done the labs but maybe I should? out of the 5 sections, the 3 worst are content inspection, routing and VPN.

Should I do the labs? will this help at all?

I build full fortinet infrastructure for customers including Gates, FortiSwitches, Analyzer and Manager, and then sometimes will setup SASE, FortiAuth and FortiNAC.

depressed ....

Question about CEPH setup using iSCSI shared storage

Hi all,

I have a lab at work and we have access to a Dell/EMC SCv3020 that has 24TB. We also have access to a Dell M3000e server chassis that has 8 x m630 servers. Each server is 2cpu 28cores with 256gb RAM.

Each engineer in my group of 4 is allocated 2servers and up to 6TB per engineer.

So my take on this is 2 x M630 blade servers and I setup a 2TB lun on the iSCSI storage for the time being.

The issue is the 2 servers (PVE2 and PVE3) do not have any HD in them, only the 2x 16Gb Flash. So I installed proxmox ve 9.2 on them and they both see the 2TB storage.

I also have a standalone Dell R620 that is populated with 32cpu and 256gb ram and this one has 4 drives setup in 2 raid local storage, one of 500gb and another with 350gb. This server PVE1 is my original Proxmox that was running 8.4 now upgraded to 9.2 and has the shared iSCSI storage I just setup on it this week. This server had about 10VM’s running on it for the longest time.

Sorry this is extensive intro but I want to make sure you have a good picture of the setup.

I have been looking at CEPH now and wanted to know how to best set it up with my lab so all 3 servers are in a cluster (PVE1 being the master) and setup the shared storage on all 3 so that I can do live migrations in case of failure of one of the 3 servers. I heard that you need 3 servers for quorum.

Since only the PVE1 has internal local disks, is there anything special I need to do for this setup for CEPH and Cluster?

Any suggestion or comment would be appeeaciated.

FMS FCX10 OVR LC80 current owners - need your opinion and feedback

Specifically for those who have purchased ( and live in Canada) this model that has the Straight Axle, Black mat pain, Brushless 2 speed locked diff.

I'm debating on this model and others like the TRX4 Defender, Axial SCX10 Pheonix.

What is your opinion on this model, and if you have experience with the other models listed above even better.

If you had to go back and choose, would you still choose this model?

my intent is to do Crawling but not competition based, just a bunch of buddies at a local spot.

let me know your thought:
why you like it?
what you hate about it?
Durability?
Is there issues with parts availability (especially if you live in Canada)?
What part upgrades did you do if any to add weight?

looking for suggestions on 6ch(or more) Transmitter/Receiver

hi all,

got my first TRX4M and loving it.
One thing i dont like though is it's not programable and I dont have access to the other channels for lights and possible winch in the future so looking at recommendations for a Transmitter/Receiver with at least 6ch or more in 2 budget range of 50-100$ and 100-150+.

Thinking that this will probably be replacing my current TRX4M transmitter/receiver and be the sole transmitter for all future rigs. So would need recommendations on the ESC and preferably like to keep the Traxxas 2S packs I already have.

also, want a model that would allow me to purchase additional receivers and program them for different crawlers.

so recommendations on :

- Transmitter/receiver
- ESC brushed/brushless capable (I want to keep my brushed Injora 180/48T motor, but have the option to go brushless)
- want to keep my Traxxas 2S pack if possible since I dont want to have to sped 200$-300$ on new multi charger and packs.,

thanks

Making my own roof rack straps

Hi all,

Experimenting in making my own tie down straps. So far so good. Could not find orange coloured 2mm elastic cord so went with black.

Would like to make adjustable traps using 2.5mm wide elastic straps, but might have to design and 3d print the buckles myself.

If anyone have any ideas, let me know

New to Scale Crawling - Gatineau Qc

Hi all,

Just joined this sub since I have been looking into getting into scale crawling for sometime. Back in my younger years I started in RC Airplanes, the RC racing stadium dirt truck, then into real airplanes (private pilot) and now back into RC after over 20years being away.

Was originally looking at 1/10 (TRX4 or SCX) then after reading some more about the crawling hobby, I decided to start small’er.

Went to my local hobby shop this morning (GreatHobbies in Ottawa south) and was looking at the SCX24 and just could not make up my mind, then passing by the parts counter, there it was !

My original thought going in was I would get a stock SCX24, upgrade it as I went along over the next few months.

On the parts counter sat A used TRX4M Defender model, with a price 450$ (Canadian). After looking it over as it felt heavier than stock, found out it had a lot of upgraded parts already on it. So pulled the trigger and got it for 420$. In my mind it was worth it and added a 2S 1000mha pack.

So here I am back home, sitting in front of my computer with my 3x Bambulab 3D printers behind me, and starting to look at what can I print now for this little beast! Any siggestions ?

Also thinking of printing rock formations on my printers and making myself a small indoor course.

Any suggestions is appreciated!

Already thinking of my upgrades to do on the TRX4M:
All metal axles,
Brushless motor
Any suggestions?

Here are a few pictures I just took

EUC, E-Scooter, legality in Gatineau/Ottawa

Hi all,

Gatineau resident for 52 years.
me and my wife had EUC's (i sold mine but she still has her's).
Last year we were stopped on the Fournier cycle path. The guy was from the NCC and was parked on the side of the path stopping anyone going through with anything other then a pedal bike.

We chatted a bit and he stated that EUC's and E-Scooters are illegal on all NCC path.

My question is which law applies?

Can the NCC guy give a ticket?

All governments Provincial and Federal promote personal electric bicycles and other modes of transportation... so basically talking from both side of the mouth...

I bought a Electric assisted commuter bike (Aventon Level3) and love it but would like to get a e-scooter. looking at the Segway Max g3 or the Kukirin G3 Pro.

Has anyone gotten a ticket, if so, how much is it?

Do you stop when the NCC guy flags you down?

What powers does the NCC person have since they are not agents of the law?

are they leagaly allowed to detain you?

I went on the NCC website, but it's not clear which cycle path is NCC owned or not, i mean their map shows all the cycle paths in gatineau, for sure they don't own those.

So would it be debatable in court (if you end up there) to say that it is not clearly indicated that the path is owned by NCC and no E-Scooters are allowed?

Sorry for the long post and many questions.
