The rig is complete

My goodness, I've just added the volca keys and this rig might be complete. A rig of "bad gear" in some ways but each of these machines is working very well with the others. I've got a 256 beat pattern set up for both the synths on the Bento and I'm just tweaking away at envelopes, reverbs, delays and filters. I could do this for hours it sounds incredible. The L6 is amazing too. Just getting to grips with it but I can route everything anywhere and record my sessions with it - even to my phone by USB for video recording.

If I'm not seen outside in the next week - send pizza.

My latest Bento jam - chill Unknown.

I hope you like this. I've tried to show the elements from each channel so you can see how this was put together. The LiveTrak is an excellent companion for the Bento. I'm going to add a Volca Keys to the rig and then I think I'll have an excellent dawless set up that fits in my backpack. People have questioned the Bento use case - this is mine. I've no space for a studio in my house so I wanted to create a music production kit that is portable and packable. The Bento is working better for me than a Circuit, MPC or PE Tracker did as the core or "brain".

Kinrura.

I've been adapting my kit round the Bento to create a super efficient and minimal set up. I sold my S1 and Roland Go mixer to buy a Zoom recorder and a pair of monitor headphones. The video is good for a jam but I'm not pleased with the sound quality.

I've linked to the mastered track on Bandcamp in the comments. I used the new kit to record that version. Let me know if you can hear the difference.

I think I've finally got a set-up that I can manage in my modest house and busy life that enables me to make well produced tunes that genuinely reflect the ideas in my head.

I'm using an old NI controller to play the notes..

Sourcing a large cable spool.

Morning all.

I manage a charity with a busy community garden in the toon. We're looking for a used cable spool that can be re-purposed to a table for our community meals and kids crafting etc.

Ideally it would be dropped off for us because we don't have a van.

Can anyone point me at a philanthropic user of large cable spools?

1010 Bento - disco house.

Here's a mellow disco number. With the Bento as the brain and the JT4000M to add a little extra. I used an NI midi controller to play the notes.

Hi all. I'm assessing audio recording options.

Id like to record audio at high resolution. In a perfect world I'd be able to record 3 stereo channels, mix them and export a master and without being to expensive.

Any hints or tips would be appreciated.
