How do you listen to music with no melody/hooks??

Hello. I used to listen to softer genres like pop. I saw some people call pop and mainstream music shallow and boring, so I thought I might as well listen to other music as well.

Specifically I've been listening to rock and metal. Mainly alternatives. (not pop rock or whatever)

Since now the melody/hook was the main reason I liked a song. I've been noticing some of rock and metal music don't have them.

How do you decide if you like a song in these genres? I genuinely don't know how to listen to it. I know it sounds stupid but I just don't get what's good about these. (no offense)

How can I practice flutter kick out of the water? (I can't keep up long enough)

Hello. I've been learning to swim for 3 years now near where I live, once a week. I'm not that good nor bad. (I do freestyle 50m 34s)

I somehow can't keep on doing flutter kick properly for more than 50m. I just can't keep up without doing weird kick once in a while.

How can I practice this kick at home/out of the pool? Any advice on doing this kick or practice techniques are very appreciated. Thank you so much.

What do I need to keep in mind when shooting 35mm loaded with Watson 100?

Hi! I'm going to start bulk loading, and I'm thinking about getting a Watson model 100. (Please let me know if I'm wrong/inaccurate about any info)

Apparently I'm losing 2 frames at the end of my roll? That's the center part of my roll right? (35th and 36th frame?) Do I have to finish shooting when I reach 34th frame? How do I know if I'm precisely on the 34th frame? (I think it depends how many times I wind up before closing my lid etc.)

I just don't want to mess up on my first 100' roll, thank you.

What are photographers I should look as a beginner?

Hello. Some information about me: I have been taking photos with my compact digital since young, but wasn't particularly caring about making my photos interesting or appealing to look. More like I was taking photos for record?

I came to a conclusion I should look at examples of "good" photos first. I don't even know which field of photography I want to shoot, so my current mission is to look at as many photographer's work as possible.

I got a film DSLR recently but I'm trying to work with what I got already, mainly with my XP140 (the compact digital I mentioned).

Please let me know if I'm on the wrong track or something. Thank you so much.

-Some sort of alternative for a darkroom???

Am I missing anything? Is there any kit you reccomend? I live in a very normal house. Would any kit from Ilford work? Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Do you reapply protective resin when replacing battery on shuffles? (and if so, what do you use?)

Hello. I got a bunch of ipod shuffles to replace batteries. I figured out that there is a coating on the pads where the battery cable is attached. I'm guessing they have a proper meaning, and I want to know what you guys do about it. Thank you.
