Tokyo Disneyland/Sea

My boyfriend and I found out that Disney tickets in Japan are only like $60 and since we're planning on spending a full week in Tokyo we figured it would be a fun thing to do for a day since he likes Disney a lot and has been to the one in Florida multiple times.

When he was booking the tickets, he thought that DisneySea was a waterpark, so he booked the Disneyland ones instead. I researched it a bit after and I found out that people are saying that Sea is a lot better than land.

The last time I was in a Disney park was when I was around 7 years old and I hardly remember it.

Did we mess up? Will we still have fun in Disneyland and are there exclusive things to do there or is it just an exact copy paste of the kind of stuff they have in Disney World?

Tips on Getting Motivated?

I'm 23 and I've been a Paralegal for around a year now. My office does collections work and they recently put me in charge of it. We have about 400 or so cases and there are two of us who do them. I've been working on these cases since I've arrived in the office but it's super hard to get motivated to work on them since they are never-ending, repetitive, and some of the attorneys just don't want to work on them (they will just never work on them even when asked and will leave docs unapproved in their email box for weeks and it gets tiring following up with them. And then when they finally get around to approving you're stuck with 50 documents you have to file 😭). The fact that I've already drafted hundreds and hundreds of the same templates for these in the past year makes it worse (like burnout).

The boss of the attorneys I worked for recently told me that we're behind on them but I've gotten to the point where my brain literally short circuits when it comes to drafting docs for these cases.

Any advice on how to push myself to just do them?

I Feel Like this Would be Cool as a Tramp Stamp

They made me work front desk at my job for a bit a while back. I got bored one day and started stamping the received stamp all over my arm and it occurred to me that it would make a fire tramp stamp. Now I kinda want it

Tips for Dealing with Sleep Paralysis

Following an argument with my bf and a nap this afternoon, I had a sleep paralysis experience for the first time in a year in a half in which I had an out of body experience and saw a shadow-like demonic entity, which I could not see the face of, dragging me down into my bed. (along with the typical not being able to scream or move type stuff)

I'm a bit scared now to go to sleep in my bed. I typically only do meditation/energy work and some divination via tarot cards. Is there anything I should be doing to resolve this?

Worst Sleep Paralysis Episode Yet

Haven't had an episode for more than a year and a half. But tonight I was anxious due to an argument with my partner and had taken a nap after work so I guess those things caused it.

I was stuck on my back, trying to scream out to my dad. Nothing came out and I tried to scream until my voice went hoarse. And when I tried to sit up in bed I saw this shadow behind me that I thought was Satan and it was like saying stuff to me and trying to drag me back onto my bed. Its face always seened out of reach. When I screamed, my dad couldn't hear me and then I had this out of body experience and tried to bang on my walls or to walk over to my dad's room and wake him up, but I couldn't wake him.

I'm used to either just seeing something slightly weird (like an ice cream truck out my window, a paramedic talking to me, a toy that suddenly has a creepy smile, a doorknob with an eye) or most of the time just not seeing anything and either having a pressure on my chest or not being able to scream/move. So this was a bit new to me.

My (23F) bf (23M) says the honeymoon phase is over

Met my boyfriend in September. We’re both 23 and this is our first relationship. At the beginning he was very intense. He talked about marrying me, running away together, living out of our car, etc. We spent almost all our free time together.

About a month ago I got rear-ended and lost my car, so I’ve been alone more because I don’t have many friends nearby. Since then things have felt different.
We planned a trip that fell through, and he invited me to his friend/sister’s party instead. The day of, he uninvited me because it was mostly guys and he thought they’d see me as a “buzzkill.” He has a pattern of inviting me places and then choosing his friends instead.

The next few weeks we barely saw each other. I took off work to see him, but he sent me home early one night because he was tired and wanted to see his friends. He stayed out until 2 AM with them, then was too tired the next day. He also went away for July 4th weekend and didn’t text or call me.
I told him I felt like he prioritized his friends over me. He said he wants to go away with friends for his birthday in September, and I got upset because we haven’t even taken a trip together, while he’s already gone away with friends multiple times.

He was supposed to come to my allergy shots last Thursday like he always does but he slept through them and forgot.

He said I need to be more independent. He also said the honeymoon phase is over, our spark has been coming in waves, and he doesn’t want to talk about marriage anymore because we’re young and he got carried away before. However, he says he loves me, I’m his best friend, and he doesn’t want to break up.
He still reassures me, tells me I’m beautiful, and has been taking me places I want to go. He said he’ll work on not ditching me for friends.

Am I being anxious/self-sabotaging, or are his actions concerning? Is this just the honeymoon phase ending? Why did he suddenly start prioritizing friends? Is this relationship salvageable?

My (23F) bf (23M) Says he Thinks the Honeymoon phase is over.

My boyfriend and I met each other back in September. We were each other's first relationship ever. Since then, we've been together all the time. Early on he told me how he wants to get married to me as soon as possible and we talked about running away for a while and living out of our car.

Everything started to shift around a month ago when I got into a car accident (rear-ended). We weren't able to spend as much time together since I didn't have a car. I spent most of my time alone since I don't have many friends in the area and the ones I do have are unreliable and have only hung out with me a few times in the past year.

I had known for a while that he was going away for July 4th weekend, but we had also planned on going away ourselves two-three weeks before that since I had my first Friday off in a long time and he usually works on Sundays and has off Fridays. That plan ended up falling through and he told me that we could just go to his friend and his sister's party together since I was invited to that as well. We hadn't seen each other for a full week before, but the day of, he told me that I was actually uninvited because it was supposed to be a bunch of guys and he was worried they'd see me as a buzzkill. He has had a pattern of iniviting and uninviting me to things in the past or ditching me for his friends and he knew it hurts my feelings.

I was disappointed and told him I was upset but he went anyway. We didn't see each other much again the week after and then that weekend we saw each other for a bit on that Friday, since I had taken off to see him since we missed the week before. We hung out during the day and went to the city but he told me to go home in the evening because he was tired and so he could hang out with his friends. The next day he picked me up and we went out again. He was out until 2 am and was tired all day and made us go home early and then saw his friends again.

The next weekend after this he went away on his vacation for 4th of july. I was alone and he did not text or call me all weekend. I told him this upset me and I was scared he liked his friends more than me.

He took me to the beach yesterday and in the car he told me he was going to be going away with his friends for his birthday in September. I told him that we haven't even gone away just us two yet and that I had been excited for his birthday and that he had already gone away with his friends five seperate times this year and that he was with his friends for most of the holidays this year. He said he didn't think it was a big deal since his friend's girlfriend wasn't upset about him going away for the fourth of July and that it was his birthday and he could choose what to do with it. He said that he thinks I need to be more independent. I said that his friend probably hadn't ditched his girlfriend for three weekends in a row beforehand and that I felt deprioritized and that I just thought he'd want to be with me on his birthday/holidays.

He had been going with me every week to get allergy shots and promised me last Thursday that he would come and he forgot about it and napped through it.

He has stopped texting me and calling me as much during the day and especially when he is with hus friends. I try to give him his space but when I call him he will be short and won't have the same long phone conversations we used to or won't actively participate. Or sometimes he just won't respond for a long time.

We talked again today and I asked if he thought the honeymoon phase was over and if he still saw a future together and still wants to get married on day.

He said he did think the honeymoon phase was over and said that he feels our spark has come in waves lately. He said he couldn't commit to getting married because we are too young and he just got excited before and that he has no plans to even live together anytime soon. He said I am still his best friend and that he loves me. He said he wants to stay with me and does not want to break up and that he didn't like me acting like this is the end and that he just wants me to be happy but that I need to be more independent. I asked if he thought going to therapy could be a good idea for me and he said yes. He said he will work on not ditching me for his friends and assured me everything will be okay with us.

I still feel the same as I always have towards him and feel just as excited but I feel anxious because I feel there has been a change with him and with us.

To his credit, he still constantly tells me that he loves me and that I am beautiful and he does his best to reassure me when I ask for it. He has also made efforts to take me places I want to go to the last few weeks, even if he didn't want to all that much (ie the city).

Is this relationship still viable? How can we work through this? Why did he do all that with his friends? Am I self-sabotaging?

Is it Worth it To Move to NYC?

I'm 23F and currently work as a Paralegal in the suburbs outside of the city. I've been feeling stagnant in my life and I really want to experience new things, live in a new place, and make new friends (since I currently have none in my area). I'm also interested in art and music and would like to meet other like-minded people and possibly get into a creative career. But the problem is that my bf really doesn't want to live in the city. My dad worked in the city for 35 years and yelled at me when I even mentioned the idea. I'm also worried I'm running out of time to make a big move like this.

I love the East Village/Soho/Greenwich Village but I worry it might be a bit too expensive for me. I think Hoboken would be a cool place to live in too, even though it's technically not the city

Any advice?

23F-- Never Am Good Enough

I struggle with anatomy, values, posing, consistent art style, composition... Pretty much everything. I stopped drawing a few years ago because I hated my stuff and kinda started up again recently but I work full time now so I don't have much time. I don't wanna be stuck in my Paralegal job forever but becoming a professional artist just seems unnatainable.

AITA for being upset that my (23F) boyfriend (23M) keeps changing plans this weekend?

AITA for being upset that my boyfriend keeps changing plans this weekend?

My boyfriend (23M) and I (23F) have different schedules. He usually works on Sunday and has Friday off while I work a more typical work week. I finally have a Friday off for Juneteenth so we were supposed to go away this weekend, but we ended up changing plans since I’ve been asking him to go into NYC with me (to either the bronx zoo or east village) since February (we live nearby) and we had only started looking for hotels two weeks ago so it was hard to find a hotel, and I figured we could just put that money towards a beach trip instead. I figured we could just spend the weekend together instead.

Earlier this week he had a health problem and needed a colonoscopy and so he told me he wasn't sure if he could see me on Thursday or Friday during the day (because he was taking laxatives on thursday and had the appointment on friday), but that if he felt better we would see each other Friday night since his friend's family was having a party and both my bf and his friend had invited me. Obviously that’s serious so I understood even though I was a bit disappointed. He told me he needed to pick up a facebook marketplace deal on saturday on the "east side" and I asked if it was near the east village and he said that he thought it was there.

Then this morning he called me and said that we'd see each other after his appointment.

After the appointment he said nothing was wrong with him health wise and that his friend Zach was picking him up and they were going to hang out then go to the party and that I was not invited and I probably shouldn't go. I asked him why and he wouldn't give me a clear explanation but said something about wanting me to go but thinking his friends will be upset if he brings his girlfriend. Then he told me that we're actually going to go to East Harlem on Saturday and not the East Village.

I told him I was upset about this and that I don't like being uninvited to things and that I wanted to go to the places I wanted to go to in the city. I don't really care that he's going to a party without me. He told me he felt bad but that he needs to have balance in his life and that I have to go to harlem with him. And that I was probably upset because I hadn't eaten anything.

I just don't like being uninvited from things and he does this habitually. He would never do this to one of his friends so I don't get why he does it to me. He has this one friend who he complains is "gay" and who calls him all the time and always whines about having to invite him to guys hangouts. I honestly think it's weird that he's so obsessed with his sexuality but I just tell him not to invite the guy and to just tell him to stop calling him so much if it's such a big deal but he says he has to invite him because otherwise he'll "find out" and that he can't hurt his feelings.

AITA?

Recs for 1 Night Upstate?

My bf and I are looking for places to stay in upstate NY for a night or two about 2 weeks from now. We live in Rockland county and would preferably like it to be around one to two hours away from us. We're planning on going hiking and would like for there to be a hot tub!
