479 work?

Anyone working in 479 right now? Looking to get on a show, but everyone I used to work with is out of state on productions right now. Art department/Construction, but glad to lend a hand any way I can.

Paint vs Powder coat?

Hey folks, working on a Cub Cadet LT42, some surface rust under, and on top the powder coat is starting to flake from the shroud. What’re your tips for rectifying this? I’m waiting to hear what a blast and powder coat would cost, but I’m also weighing the option of chipping back and feathering it with primer and recoating with Majic enamel with hardener.

What’ve you done? What worked and didn’t? Thanks!

Use Arduino to update Freezer?

Hello all, I’ve got a vintage freezer that works great, but the mechanical timer doesn’t always fire off the defroster so I’ve got to melt it myself every now and then. I was wondering if there was a way to use an arduino to mimic the defrost schedule and activate each defrost heat coil and work with the thermostat? It would also need to activate the compressor as well, all components 120v. Thanks!

Muscadine mower?

Hello all, I’ve got an acre of overgrown holly and muscadine that I need cut back to prevent it from getting worse. It’s lakeside, so I’m not allowed any tractors or bush hogs, needs to be close in size to a lawn mower. I’m in GA. Any recommendations?

Proper Driver for these rope lights?

Hello all, I've got 90 feet of led rope light as an accent piece in my living room, and in hoping for a hardwired solution I've connected it to a plug powered by a slide dimmer. Currently, the lights can take a few seconds to power on, and a couple times have needed the switch flipped twice to pop on. I'm using these https://www.homedepot.com/p/EcoSmart-32-8-ft-Plug-In-Bright-White-LED-360-Outdoor-Dimmable-Linkable-Rope-Light-with-Remote-Control-AL-NR-WW-32FT/324731721?MERCH=REC-_-searchViewed-_-led%20rope%20light-_-2-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a Is there a driver I can use instead of the one they came with that would be a better fir? I'm open to any suggestions, thanks!

Euro doors on frame?

Hey Folks, I’ve got a client with the standard golden oak face frame kitchen and they want to go to a euro style slab door with the tight gaps. My thinking on this is you’d have to fully remove the oak face frame and go to a frameless style, even if that meant adding a 3/4 frame on it instead of the 2” classic. Is there a Blum hinge for frameless look on a frame? Thanks!

New card, trying to figure out to cancel?

hello all! I work in film and television, and we've experienced a decline recently. With this, I've got some debt and incoming charges I am hoping to move from my main card (Citi Double Cash) to a new card with 0% apr for a few months as work comes back in. I had applied for the Discover Chrome, but probably should've applied for the Discover IT Cashback. I'm considering cancelling the Chrome since the account card hasn't shipped or been activated yet, and possibly go over to American Express and get the Blue Cash Everyday or preferred instead. I'd love any advice on which way is the best to go.
