Writing a book based in the 80s

If you guys have the time I'd love to hear about what your beauty routines looked like! Especially if any of you were militant about it (my character is a very type A personality). From waking, to face washing, creams, hair. What did you do before you stepped out the door?

What do you miss most about the 80s? What details could you only know if you lived in it? The smell of certain stores, the atmosphere of malls, things that aren't around anymore-- anything and everything is really appreciated!

Day in the life of a court stenographer?

I’ve been interested in this field for a long while and I’m interested to know what your typical day looks like including lunches and breaks? How’s the work/life balance?

What to do when cravings show up over 7 months later?

Anyone who loved the taste and ritual of weed, I'd love to get advice from especially. Lately I've been practically salivating at the thought of how flower would taste.

My partner still smokes it before bed and accidentally left a bowl out by the couch. I went to lay down with my dog and I was drooling like I was smelling a roasted chicken or some shit. It's been so weird since I've been pretty headstrong about my recovery, the random cravings that pop up really throw me for a loop.

I notice it's when I smell when during times where I don't expect it. When I get up to use the bathroom while my partner is smoking it doesn't really tempt me because I'm expecting it. When he leaves it by the couch or when I smell my neighbor's weed randomly is when it hits hard.

Bummed cause I thought it would be mostly over by now. The cravings aren't debilitating but they definitely linger for longer than I'd like.

Pug specialist needed lol

Hello! We just adopted this cutie pie a month ago and we are doing very well overall. Shes my first pug. She listens very well, isn't especially stubborn and it only took her a couple days to learn a basic recall. Despite what the video might show she is very calm most of the time lol No resource guarding detected, I can grab a toy from her no problem. If she finds a paper towel though she'll run and hide from me like she found the family jewels or something 🤣

In my research I found that some high pitched growling during play is normal and I just wanted to double check since hers seems kind of on the lower side? Ive only ever had small dogs and shes the only one to play growl so I dont have much frame of reference.

My video didnt catch it but while grabbing the toy once it slipped out of her mouth she accidentally nommed on my hand, which is the first time it happened and it was surprisingly gentle! All green flags from what I can gather but I wanted to make sure I didnt miss something, I really want to do right by her and set her up for success.

Thank you in advance!

Thatcher's Voice wtf

This is already my second rewatch of the Crown (I only started watching it the end of last year.) and I genuinely don't understand why they made her sound that way. I literally looked up "Thatcher speaking" and she sounded like a normal person so I'm so confused. The actress gave her the vocal fry of a much older person throughout her entire role, why? I get it's her take but I don't get how she got there. Thatcher's voice sounded pretty clear to me, with none of the strained feeling I get from her in the Crown.
