Thumbnails loading very slowly

I just downloaded and started using DigiKam. My photos are stored on an external drive. My first impression is that loading the thumbnails takes forever. Is the program creating the thumbnail database since I just started using it or is there another issue that needs my attention? Thanks in advance

CV Axle Joint Question

I am working on a 2011 Honda Odyssey EX. Almost 5 months ago, I replaced an inner CV boot clamp after noticing some grease leaking out of the boot. Today I happened to noticed much more grease had been sprayed from the same area. I haven't heard or noticed any issues with the CV axle or with steering.

Could the grease have escaped the boot because I replaced the clamp, or is it a greater issue that now requires rebuilding that CV joint?

Currently, the boot is still intact and the clamp is still holding strong (is it possible to clamp the boot too tightly?). I will be monitoring it to see if it is actively leaking grease

Help - I need more assets for realism

I see screenshots of people's cities and think, "Man, I want that building/parking lot/asset" and then proceed to never find it.

Please, for my sanity, share the assets you are using to make your city realistic. I'm talking unique buildings, growables, ploppables, any run down looking buildings or warehouses or decrepit parking lots. Also detailing stuff: decals (like water damage running down the side of a building), textures, trees/bushes, etc.

If it helps, I'm going for North American style.

Choose two stocks as a first time investment

I'm looking to begin investing for my kids college fund. Currently, the majority sits in a CD at 4.00% APY but i have some funds available to invest right now.

If I were to eventually move all college fund into stocks, what are two stocks you would suggest I invest into? I'll be trading on Vanguard. My initial idea is 70% into S&P 500 and 30% into maybe a vanguard stock (?)
