My simple temporary card table setup
Recently moved and had to sell a lot of furniture. Got a free card table from the inlaws and it's working just fine for now.

I work for an electrical contractor that started up an AV division exactly 1 year ago. I was a field service/commissioning/technician before coming on board and now I am in a PM/Sales Engineering role.
We established D-Tools as our estimating/project management software and began using it integrated with Visio for shop drawings. This has been working "well" seeing as I had no prior CAD experience.
However, we are at a point where we are starting to outgro Visio. I got myself a license to AutoCAD (which also integrates with D-Tools, which is cool) and, like expected, I am completely overwhelmed at the complexity of this software.
Anyone got any good resources you could point me to in order to begin learning this software? There's a TON on youtube, which has been somewhat helpful already in learning some basics but specifically working with D-Tools, annotating floorplans, drawing schematics, etc.... I need some serious help.
Appreciate any input you have. Thanks!
I fully admit I look for any excuse to take a photo of this watch. Mixing a show tonight and the band is almost keeping as good time as my ny0040.
This is unacceptable really. Anyone else experience this?
I haven't set this in nearly a month. I log my offset every night and if it's slow, I set it face up on my dresser to gain a few seconds overnight. If it's fast, I lay it crown-down on its side.
Doing this, I can basically keep this thing on "perfect" time. Crazy for such an affordable piece.
I've been wearing automatics my whole life, and been playing drums the last 15 years. It recently came to my attention that this might be harmful to a mechanical watch. Anyone else hear this? Have experience with this? I've drummed with all my mechanical watches and now I'm hoping I haven't done some kind of damage to them. They all run great, this Seiko 5 loses about 5-10spd but it's always kinda been that way.
Any other drummers out there? I hate not wearing a watch so curious what I COULD wear instead...
With the discontinuation of the aterrotech devices, we have started using RDL products. I'm having trouble getting the RDL QSYS plugin to connect to the devices. Just stuck on "Initializing".
Any ideas? I can see the device via the RDL console, and my dante routes are fine. It just won't connect to the plugin. Appreciate any help. Thanks!
Every time I power cycle the UNDX2IO, it forgets its preamp states. I am using this unit with a gooseneck mic that requires 25db gain and phantom power. It's on a mobile cart that gets wheeled around. Every time the device gets plugged in into an AV Network outlet, it boots up at 0db and phantom power is off. This requires me to go into the program and manually make the change every time the device Powers up. This obviously will not work because this is designed to "just work".
Is this normal behavior? Is there something wrong with my unit?
Started getting tired of the stock strap that came with my NY-0040. Toughed it out for 2 months and while it's not absolutely terrible, I just got tired of the stiffness.
Put it on a Barton 20mm "military green" silicone strap. All of my other automatics are on these as well. They seem to be the sturdiest of silicone (I've tried also Ritchie and Archer variants). I think I like it. Time will tell.
Wanted to wear my hammy today for America. It's the 46mm Pilot, so I save it for special occasions. Always blown away by the accuracy of this piece. Also generally can't stop looking at it when it's on my wrist!
I'm the M&M car. Was having a great battle with the HP car until he proceeded to have 4 collisions (3/4 were with me) in a matter of 2 corners.
I'll own up to the 4th one, I should have held brakes, but I wanted to get off the racing line. My bad.
I feel like this happens alot in with the new M2 lobbies. I've yet to have a clean race. This was a 1.8 SOF lobby, Split 3 of 16.
Beginning the commissioning phase of a very large and complex high school audio system. 6 areas, multiple PA systems, two QSYS cores and two different performance spaces with DM7 consoles.
The network is mostly happy. 10G production network. About 30 Dante devices and everything is synced up and audio passing freely. Enter the first DM7.
First off, I can't set the Dante IP address on the console. No matter what I enter and hit "apply", the address won't change. I have to manually set it via Dante controller.
My QSYS DSP is my preferred leader on the network. That's all good. On the DM7, I've set the clock to "Dante" and disabled "preferred leader" and have patching set via Dante controller. I can see the DM7 on Dante network, can patch audio to and from it, but on the DM7 itself I get Dante connection/sync errors.
No artifacting, clean audio, everything set to 24 bit/48K on Dante. Netgear AV switches running Dante profile and STP/broadcast storm is disabled on ports as needed for the DM7. Just odd.
Any insight? Similar experiences? Would love to hear.
Thanks!

It was a miracle we all missed him.
For those of you who draft in Visio, what's your workflow for bringing in floorplans from PDF?
Currently, I use blue beam to export a PDF to a high res BMP. This works "ok", but obviously not as sharp as a cad/Visio native drawing. Curious your thoughts.
This movement is the most accurate I own. I have a few Seiko automatics and a Hamilton with an ETA movement... But this little 8204 take the cake. I have not set it since I got it almost 3 weeks ago, averaging 1 second per day. I can maintain it by letting it sit crown up overnight to slow it down, or face up to gain some time.
Bit the bullet and got the long island stainless bracelet for my NY0040.
Match made in heaven. Great fit, quality is spot on, plenty of adjustment. For reference, I have a 7.5" wrist.
The amount of times I've dropped switches....
New to this group... Thought I'd share my Khaki pilot 46mm on a white Barton silicone strap. I love how it looks on my 7.5" wrist.
My dad gifted me this watch when I got married 13 years ago and it's been a faithful timepiece ever since.
I am working on a QSYS design that will require control of these Pensar AIO DVLED displays. I only need simple control, power state (on, standby) and input control. I cannot find anything online and their customer support has not been helpful so far.
Just curious if anyone could shed any light on this for me. Thanks!
