Any suggestions or help? I’m so miserable 😭
I’ve really been enjoying Season 3. One thing I’ve appreciated is seeing Kelli and Judy make an effort to evolve. I also liked that the season didn’t focus on the new candidates’ fittings, which in the past was like a whole body shaming episode.
To me, it feels like they’re aware of some of the mistakes they’ve made over the years. Rather than continuing to revisit those mistakes and repeatedly apologize for them, they’ve shown growth through their actions. Sometimes the best apology is genuine change and that’s not easy!
I would love to see what everyone’s done with the inside. I have a gift shop, archeologist research area, and art galley that I added. I’d love to add some exhibits as well but I’m not sure where to add them yet.
Finally finished the outside of my museum and wow does it feel like an accomplishment. I still have a ton of ash to clear up, buts it’s more than a start. ✨
Humidity isn’t accurate as I just had it open to clean the inside and outside of the glass 🦀💖🐚
My in-laws have a bearded dragon, and for Christmas I bought them a 4x2x2 enclosure because he was previously in a much smaller tank. They do have proper lighting and heating, but the enclosure itself is still extremely bare, paper towels, one ramp, and a stone. They also never take him out or provide any real enrichment.
Every time I visit, he’s glass surfing constantly, and it honestly makes me sad.
As someone who keeps multiple reptiles and puts a ton of effort into enrichment and naturalistic setups (and as a former vet tech), it’s hard not to feel frustrated seeing an animal live like that when I know how much more stimulating their lives can be.
I really appreciate all the enclosure photos people post here because they remind me what good husbandry can look like!
What’s the nicest way to approach this with my in laws? I’ve offered before to decorate and set up the enclosure myself and they didn’t seem interested, but I genuinely would love to help improve his quality of life without coming across as judgmental or overstepping, but at the same time the bearded dragon needs a better life.
Enclosure and frogs over 2 years old. Added a couple need plants over the weekend to spruce things up some. 🌷🐛
