Just as the title says, my boyfriend is Black American while I'm African. I Immigrated to the US as a kid so I was well versed in Black American culture (because I went to a mostly black school all my life and lived in a mostly black neighborhood) while also enjoying my own with family. My big question is, if he and I were to have a child, would the kid just be African American. I know African American is an outdated term used for Black Americans (or at least in recent years I've noticed a lot of Black Americans speak out on how they dont like the term) so I'm just confused on what her background would be. I've been thinking about this for a while, weirdly enough. I'm sure this is a easy to answer—and probably dumb—question. I just need some nuance or other perspectives! :)

I'm specifically speaking about body parts such as the neck, arm pits, knees, & elbows. Does anyone have any luck with turmeric soap? My skin isn't sensitive so im sure I'll be fine when using it, but I just dont want to waste my time. Also, must it be a specific brand or does really any turmeric soap work?

Since im a picky eater im incredibly starved in my own home. As a result, when im around food I actually like, i tend to eat it all in 1 day or even 1 sitting and regret it later. Most of the time half way through i dont even enjoy eating it anymore, i just eat. Does anyone know how to stop this? I'm currently in a healthy bmi weight but im afraid that when i eventually move out, I'll eat till im morbidly obese. I've always been incredibly insecure about my weight so even getting a little fat is unfortunately one of my biggest fears.

EDIT: I also live in an ingredient household with a family that rarely cooks, and even when they do, its something i've expressed to hate multiple times. im usually forced to fend for myself and be incredibly creative with whats left but sometimes i just get terribly lazy and weak. its gotten so bad that these past few days ive been feeling like throwing up for some reason even with not much in my stomach. also the front right side of my brain has been more prone to migraines.

I just made some banana bread but I wanna see if I can do something more with it. are there any unique spreads people use with it?👀 im thinking maybe avocado but im not sure if it'll turn out good so im looking for other suggestions.

40 mins in and i deadass did not expect that. I love boots riley so much because his films/movies are NEVER what you expect. I found out about i love boosters not only because of how popular it had became on tiktok, but by the amount of people speaking about how they walked out. I was confused on why you would walk out of a movie basically about shoplifters until I realized this was boots riley we're talking about. anyway, im not sure if this is a spoiler or not but im marking it just in case & so if anyone wants to, can reply with certain moments in the movie they found jarring too. I LOVE "I love boosters"!!!!!

Am i the only one that feels incredibly ugly during my period? I also feel like i get uglier. like my nose gets flatter and my eyes (as a whole) seem smaller. I used to look decent on my front camera no matter the lighting but now i cant stand to look at myself, even in the mirror :( is anyone else experiencing this? It makes me so much more insecure everytime i notice it!

I used to have a medium-high flow of 3 days with little to no cramps. But, ever since I switched to diaper pads my flow has lasted 5 days and been significantly worse in flow.

I prefer tampons because im trying to switch from pads but im fine with pad recommendations too.

ALSO BEFORE ANYONE BRINGS THIS UP:
I AM AWARE THAT THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE THAT PROVES CERTAIN PADS CAN LIGHTEN A FLOW. With that being said, I've noticed other ladies speak on how certain pads worsen their flow due to the chemicals in said pads and i've noticed that too. thats why i'm asking for recommendations if its happened to someone else.

Im starting to notice recently that while some movies are only in theaters, most come with a digital version you can just buy and watch at home. With that being said, why do they choose to record in theaters rather than screen recording the digitally bought version? You're still paying for both. Plus, I feel like recording it in a theater is a lot more risky due to the rise in surveillance and security.
