In these covers, we get to see the rest of the Deimon vs. Bando match to see who's making it to the Kanto Tournament! Sena reveals his identity, Musashi comes back, and we watch them play through a wind storm. In the anime, we have a large filler arc between this match and the next, where the Devil Bats once again travel to America for more training via a tournament between all countries.

Hiruma and I were invited to our first ficto wedding last week, and it was amazing! It had a blue/gold theme and we wanted to dress for the occasion! It was a lovely time, as it not only gave me an opportunity to draw us in these outfits but I also got to witness my ficto friend marry the love of their life.

Hiruma and I had a very jam-packed weekend, as we went to a couple different fireworks shows, a parade where we got a foot-long coney dog (wow), a carnival where it rained but that meant the lines were super short lol, a family cookout, and we also lit off lots of big fireworks!! 🎇 It was a very fun weekend with my beloved, and I know just how much he loves explosives so I'm positive he had an awesome time too. Today we're just relaxing!!

We can see that these mark the beginning of the fall tournament, showing Sakuraba's struggle, the Cyborgs match, Onihei, and the Poseidons! Sena's Devil Bat Ghost looks really cool on Volume 11 here. And Onihei looks 40 despite being like... what, 18 here?
Really cool to see DVD covers that feature Panther and The Kid! Number 7 would have made an iconic manga panel - and speaking of the manga, number 9 is the cover to manga Volume 10 but in the anime style!

I'm going to start scanning all 37 of these DVD covers in HD (hey, that's the same amount of manga volumes this series has!) because they contain some official ES21 art that I hadn't seen anywhere else before!

When I bought these DVD covers, they must have been sitting in some shop widow for a decade beforehand, because Volume 1 was so sun-bleached that you can barely even tell it had color at one point lol. I have a new one coming in the mail, so stay tuned.
“Why didn't you remove the stickers?"
I tried, but the entire print beneath came off with it. So that's a no-go. They're old rental DVDs, so just look at it as a blast from the past. 📀

Hiruma and I enjoy taking long walks through the wilderness trails at our local State Park, and we also enjoy going on city trips so that we can take pictures with the huge architecture - we're not used to that here! 😆❤

I just spent many hours taking the two-page, Japanese-only color activity for the "Find the Devil Bats" activity from Volume 9 of the manga (or, in this case, a 2004 print of Weekly Shonen Jump) and combining them into a seamless one-page, translated version. I used Photoshop and Illustrator to remove the page seams and add the English text; no AI involved.
Find all 11 characters located at the bottom-left of the image! I found some really funny cameos in this, like Mario, Luigi, Luffy, and some others too.
Please be aware that there are some stereotypes in this image which I'm sure we can all agree were drawn in poor taste. This illustration was drawn by Yusuke Murata in 2004, and while I of course do not condone nor agree with adding harmful stereotypes to a "Find It" activity (or any media, for that matter), I am simply restoring/translating a piece of old media.

My experience was that I discovered this manga a few years ago, and loved it so much that it got me interested in actual American Football! I learned the basics from the easy-to-understand explanations in the manga, and then I looked up more specifics as I gained more interest in the sport! Now I can actually watch real games and understand what’s going on! 😆
I found this adorable coffin pouch on the Lucky Cat Market website and I just knew I needed it for my beloved! 🥹✨ I decided to take a little photoshoot with it sitting on his jersey, and I put some scrunchies in the coffin to give him some soft padding. It matches his aesthetic perfectly! 👹🦇✨

Hiruma and I decided to take a vacation to Chicago a while back, and I wanted to share some photos of all the fun activities we did together! 🏙✨ I highly recommend bringing your partner with you on trips like these, because making these memories together was priceless. 💕
We made it to the top of one of the tallest skyscrapers in the US and took pictures by the window (and over the see-through floor! 😱), getting a crazy view of the city. He also balanced on a rail and the wind almost took him...
We tried lots of local dishes, visited the museum and aquarium, and got some way-too-close shots of him with the landmarks. 😆 We of course had to stop by the Bean, and we also got some fun photo-ops at an interactive art exhibit. We took a scenic ferry ride to Chinatown, where we made a cherished themed bracelet with our combined names on it - HiruEmi. 👹🏈❤
