[chronomat] green dial

Switched to the rubber rouleaux band today, the green dial is mesmerizing when the sun hit’s it. But the watch with the switch to Rouleaux band went from a luxury watch to a sports rugged look. 😄😄😁

[nivada] super antarctic 38mm balck orange dial

Just received my new Nivada Gretchen Super Antarctic 38mm. I do own couple of Omega’s, Breitling Chronomat, Grand Seiko etc, but also like to collect entry to mid tier watches that have a swiss legacy and proper automatic/ mechanical movements.

This model is an iconic model for Nivada and represents 1970’s vintage field watch design and color scheme. The movement SPROD P024 is architecturally identical to the ETA 2824-2 with 38 hr reserve. Impressed with casing and feels very comfortable. The dial is really eye catching and already got few comments. think buckle design is very chic.

The solid screw-down caseback features a stunning, gold-embossed medallion. This provides a direct, premium nod to the original watches used during the 1950s Antarctic expeditions.

It is a chic watch, with a 12 mm thickness which probably can be used as a dress watch.

[breitling] chronomat green dial 42

This is my first Breitling, and it already feels like a true statement piece on my wrist. I’ve been wanting a proper green dial watch for a while, and this one delivers beautifully. The level of detail is impressive throughout. I own a couple of Omegas, GS models, and other brands like Montblanc, Raymond Weil, and Baume, but this feels distinctly more luxurious than the rest. The in-house B01 movement was a big factor in drawing me to it, and overall, I absolutely love both its look and feel. I plan to get the rubber band to ware it more casually as well.

[Baume et Mercier] humble Capeland

This Capeland has become my new everyday favorite. The domed glass creates these subtle light effects on the dial, with silver tone hands at certain angles the details almost seem magnified, which I love.

37 mm dial Stainless steel case with 11mm thickness.
Sapphire Dome crystal
Black dial
Arabic numerals with 3’oclock date
Quartz-

The brand itself is underrated, something most watch enthusiasts would probably agree with. Baume et Mercier is a nearly a 200 yr brand. Its struggles seem to come more from marketing missteps under Richemont group than from the quality of the watches, leaving it a bit of a neglected brand. Early this year Damiani group purchased the brand. Let’s see what happens next.
