Every time I hear this track, I’m just in awe of the fact Kate Bush and Prince produced a track together. The end result isn’t to everyone’s taste, but that’s probably not hugely surprising given the different worlds that are colliding here. And if that wasn’t enough, they then invite notable British Comedian and Actor Sir Lenny Henry to sing a verse!
What collabs strike you as the weirdest or least expected?
So… I’m playing Louen. I’ve united Bretonnia and across the water Avelorn’s been chipping away at Slaanesh until they’ve only got three settlements left. N’kari’s wandering round with half hit points and a stack of six for multiple rounds. Averlorn ask if I can help finish him off. So I send over a full stack, take Elisia off him… and this is where things go a bit crazy.
N’kari at this point has two settlements and Seducers are in the bottom five armies. As soon as I arrive, suddenly he starts pumping out full stack Lords with chariots, etc. One turn after I arrive there’s two of these out of nowhere. Next turn another THREE. By next turn N’Kari himself now has a full stack including another Keeper, seven full stack armies running around and somehow the Seducers have jumped from bottom of the pack to eighth strongest in the world!
I guess I want to know a) how in the Old World are they managing this given the state of affairs when I arrived and why didn’t they do this to Averlorn before I did? and b) are there any strategies for dealing with this kind of bonkers insta-spawning as a Bret?
Any suggestions for a special flavour of One Hit Wonder: the band who were touted as the Next Big Thing, had their big hit and then… oh dear..?
