Just sharing our current experience here at our homestay in GL. Our trip is from Aug 24-27.
Yesterday, we lost water because they said a faucet was broken. We understood because we know these things can happen and it was not really their fault.
This morning, we left around 5 AM. Our SIM cards had no signal, so we couldn’t check our phones or messages online.
When we came back, we were surprised that our two buckets were suddenly full of water even though they were empty when we left.
The door lock here is just a padlock with a small key. What really bothered us was that no one informed me that they would enter our unit. I mean, with all due respect, it would have been okay if they had at least messaged me before coming in.
We let it pass the first time.
We left again before lunch, and we just came back now. We found out that someone entered our unit again. How did we know? We intentionally left the electric fan on before we left, and when we came back, it’s turned off.
Honestly, it’s stressful. We don’t feel completely safe staying here anymore. The area itself is okay, but now we feel like we have to bring all our valuables with us whenever we leave.
I just sent a message to the owner, asking why they keep on doing that.
Just sharing our experience. We understand that they may have reasons for entering, but we believe guests should at least be informed beforehand.
Does anyone know a laundry shop that’s open 24 hours or opens very early? We badly need to do laundry because there’s currently no water at our homestay. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
