So I was having a performance issue with my map, decided it would be best to decompile someone custom campaign (In this case it's Energy Crisis) and see how they optimize it since from my previous experience, I barely experience any lag when playing, even when using tons of mods. I was surprised it's not really what I was expecting. I was expecting there would be an excessive use of stuff like skip and hint, area portal etc, but there wasn't and the first chapter was an open area, there was a func_viscluster though, but it was only on the starting area. Which made me confuses how did they did it? my map is not as big as their yet on certain area there was a stuttering lag issue. People might come to the comment and link me a source wiki, but the problem is they don't really explain in specific on how can I use it and apply it to my specific map.

I'm making a map for Survival mode, when I enter it, me and the bots spawn right at the bottom

I try doing every possible way to make my map more optimize, I add nodraw to any brush that can't be seen by the player, I raise the lightmap to 128, I try make a "proper" skybox by not making it a literal box, I remove props, yet still, it's still stuck there.

For me it's that one from Lav's community post about woman beauty standard is just (I can't say the word) basically creepy, which I find ridicilous

What's the logic behind it? Or is it just bunch of frustated man-children that doesn't grown up from the teenage phase. Don't get me wrong I hate the woke shills too, but you have to admit it's getting ridicilous.

It's the bot that decided it would be a good idea to walk in front of you while you killing the horde. God, it's such a shitty experience, because now you playing while your brain on an idle mode, you less focus on killing the infected and more trying not to land a bullet during the horde event, because Francis thought it would be better to stand in front of you while you pulling the trigger. It happens many time while I also try to do No / Minimal Damage challenge.

God, the optimization for this game is godawful, for a game that doesn't look graphically demanding, it sure runs terrible. (No i'm not promoting piracy) Before I purchase Ravenfield officially through Steams, I remember pirate this game, and somehow as far as memories goes, the game runs better than the official one, but I bought the game for convenience and to support the developer. For context my laptop isn't exactly a shitbox, it's somewhere in the middle, it can run games like L4D2 and Garrys Mod just fine, even with more than 20+ mods, I know they're not exactly the same type of game, but still Ravenfield had no excuses.

I don't think you can just simplified this to "Oh why not just buy a better PC" I can buy games, just not PC hardware, especially during times of RAM, Job, and economic crisis.

Every update from this game seems to bring more problem, such as make old mod broken, and there's very little you can do about it. I really wish Steel prioritize optimize his game before he update any sort of content, since the community can do that.

No, I'm not expecting you guys here on Reddit to do something, this post is just a simple criticism, I want this game to be better.
