Remedial at best

Remedial at best

Making rides longer and more dangerous.

Tried every navigation system that I know of with a start of elmwood and delavan in buffalo NY and an end of elmwood and fordham - this is the only navigation in existence that thinks this is a shortcut.

Is there a social media app anywhere that crashes more?

They used to claim that they couldnt keep up because of all the new users signing up but it never improved even after the user count plateaued.

What is is about this app that makes it so fragile?

NY State drivers (outside of NYC)

Just FYI

Check you sick time accrued - 1.5 hours vanished from my sick time accrued. I chatted with lyft and got a guy who was helpful and nice but was also in over his head - I couldnt keep waiting for him to keep going ask someone else or whatever they do when they put you on hold. This could just be my account - or it could be across the board.

Also, their notices of state minimum pay on the app are incorrect. I believe they are required by law to post this on the app - uber has it posted correctly. They have the rate from 2023 - it has been adjusted for inflation twice since then.

They seem to be struggling with their state specific reference info and the accruals.

35% cut in fares today

50% and 60% bonuses all over the place but their rides pay less than the state minimum wage for drivers.

All 4 lyft riders were waiting a long time for drivers.

Spectrum Internet

Outages at least two or three days a week in the middle of the city even when the weather is perfect. Me and some of my neighbors apparently. I wish we had better options.

Clownish

I see No Network Connection every time I open it up and now its doing this thing. Eventually it let me go online but I dont trust the app enough to do rides while they're clearly running their app in safe mode or whatever tf this is.

Not going to risk doing a ride and then having to wrestle an AI to talk to someone who may or may not fix it.

For Bad Behavior

What would happen to you If you locked some teens in your car and "delivered" them to the police for bad behavior during a ride?

Deactivated and probably arrested would be my guess.

Dont be like Waymo's customer service reps.

In the bighouse now

Low paying rides and criminal riders. This rider will not tip you, not even a fake tip on the app - they're going to jail.

Is everyone getting cancels or just me?

2 out of 9 rides canceled right after lyft gave me the ride - a third one canceled after I drove to the pickup. This is like 2023 Uber.

Tried to do rides before the hockey game

Awful - all of them. Even the one I took was awful - $8, but she tipped $5.

Most of them are many many many many many miles away - like 3 or 4 towns over. App is basically unusable - only able to offer unprofitable rides.

Also, 100% of their rides required loaning uber money for two weeks.

The other day when I went to do rides like I always do - I went online on uber and got an exclusive offer right away but it wasnt worth taking so I declined and went online on Lyft without logging off uber and all of a sudden uber stopped offering me exclusive rides only trip radar. I went offline on Lyft and the exclusive offers on uber started to return.

Out of curiosity, I downloaded lyft on my second phone and retried the experiment. There was no interruption in exclusive offers on Uber if I am online on Lyft using another phone (unlike the previous day).

Has anyone else noticed this?
