How are you sanitizing tech devices

Whenever I get in from being outside, I sanitize my phone and AirPods. What are people using?

What I’ve tried:

-Early on during the pandemic, I used a PhoneSoap BasicUV Sanitizer Box.

- I then switched to Lysol. Unfortunately, the Lysol method has now ruined a phone and two pairs of AirPods.

I cannot afford to keep re-buying the products. Would appreciate any advice or tips! Thanks!

Best tools/resources for researching residential buildings

I’m looking for a new apartment and I always lucked out just taking over a friend‘s room or lease vs. apartment hunting. I want to do my due diligence researching buildings after a negative experience in a larger building with a landlord who had many (unbeknownst to me) violations. What sources do people recommend checking out to research buildings?

On my list right now is:

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice!

Has anyone tried pre-sautéed onion?

Has anyone tried this? I’m considering buying and using them in a one post pasta dish.

BPPV - Anyone get better after stopping vestibular therapy?

I have had BPPV for approx. 3.5 years. I have had daily symptoms during this period of time. I have been in vestibular therapy for nearly a year. During the appts I have no reaction, but after an appt I spend days sick (nausea, more off balance, etc.). Additionally, my mental health is suffering as I have cut so much out of my life like running, workout classes, etc.

I saw my dr earlier this week and they said let’s just stop the therapy. I was given free rein to do whatever I want and do stuff that involves head movement vs. being so careful the past 3.5 years to not move my head too much or sleep on a certain side. The dr’s thought is that through these normal daily activities and hobbies that the crystals will just go back into place and my symptoms will end. Has anyone had any luck with this method? Or have you had your symptoms end by just stopping therapy? Thanks!

Breathing pattern disorder + air quality impacted by wildfire smoke

Are there any other long haulers here who are diagnosed with breathing pattern disorder and living in an area impacted by the Canadian wildfire smoke? If you‘ve gone out, are you just wearing an N95? I’m in the NYC area and haven’t left my apartment in days. I have plans tomorrow night and I’m like do I just keep my mask on 24/7 (normally I wear one inside and in crowded outdoor areas) and that will be enough? Stay home? The air quality rating in my area is around 180.

Note: My dr is already OOO for the weekend otherwise I would have messaged her. Thanks!!

Saltyface users - Does it get messed up as you sleep?

Hi! I recently bought the Saltyface tanning foam and tanning water for the first time. I saw online that most people put it on at night and rinse it off in the AM. I’m a pretty restless sleeper and tend to toss and turn all night. Has anyone like this applied it at night and it’s been okay in the AM? Trying to decide between applying pre-bedtime and rinsing it off in the AM or applying in the afternoon and rinsing off before bed. I figured I’d leave it on for about 8 hours. Thanks!

YA book about reincarnation

I read this book in 2002 or 2003 when I was in middle school. It was a YA book about a preteen or teen girl who gets or realizes that she has been reincarnated. The book involves the Native American community. I’ve spent years trying to figure out what it was called!

Working out

I’ve had BPPV plus VM for over 3 years. This has resulted in me spending so much time at home and on the couch or in bed. I’ve found myself missing working out. Running is too risky. I walk a lot, but I’m wondering if anyone has found a workout class that modifies the classes for those with disabilities?

Update: It’s less about modifications I can do and more so about modifications or accommodations they can offer to me. For example, offering a chair to put behind you or something to hold onto. Curious if anyone has had luck with a studio offering accommodations. I’m symptomatic every hour of the day.

Paulus Hook - water quality since water main break

Has anyone else noticed that their water has tasted off since the water main break over the weekend? I’m in Paulus Hook and a few of us in my building have noticed this. I filtered it through a Brita pitcher and still tastes funny. Trying to figure out if it’s impacting anyone else in Paulus Hook or other neighborhoods.
