I reset my sims game bc everything has gotten so expensive and it’s impossible to make so much money in time. EVERYTHING was like a million simoleons. Also I could only make new sims every other level instead of every level and I had more characters I really wanted to make, but it was taking forever bc EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE AND ITS SO HARD TO MAKE MONEY

so yeah I reset everything and it feels so good to just have a fresh new start

Something I love about this community is the fact that everyone has their own voice claim for Yellow and not once have I seen someone say Tom Hanks.

Maybe i havent watched enough voice claim videos and there’s a lot of people saying he sounds like Tom Hanks, or maybe there’s an unspoken rule to avoid Tom Hanks in these videos because either A: its TOO obvious or B: it’s funny to suggest everyone except him

But like cmon literally who else could it be? lol ok i respect any headcanons that he sounds like Owen Wilson in Night at the Museum or any male Red Dead Redemption character (i havent played it I just saw some hcs) but like his design was literally based on Woody who is famously voiced by Hanks

So after I completed the goth house crafting challenge I got some free gravestones that I love bc I also finished the LDAL quest so one of my residences is just an empty lot that will eventually become a graveyard for dead sims.

One problem: you can’t write names on the graves. I know it’s just there for decoration and there’s not a lot of people who do the same thing I do but I think it would be really fun if we could just write fake names on gravestones even if sims havent died. Especially since I have a bad memory and I want to write the names of my dead sims somewhere

This isn’t an attempt to glaze Jax but I don’t understand why people talk about Jax like she’s Leland Coyle or Jimmy Mouthwashing or something. Like yeah Jax is an asshole and a misogynist and abusive to Gangle but these things don’t make her irredeemable. I keep seeing people say she’s irredeemable because she fumbled her redemption multiple times but like that doesn’t mean she never could have had a chance after that.People also straight up lie about how shes never held accountable when she’s held accountable MULTIPLE TIMES and she was CONSTANTLY called out for her behavior.

Was the fandom always like this? Like ok i wasn’t super active in the fandom until after ep 8 but I never saw anyone act like she was irredeemably evil until after the finale. Hell I used to be a Jax hater (well kinda, I was really mixed on her) until the finale and I NEVER felt this way about her. I would really hate to be one of those people who says that all Jax haters are just transphobic but I since I haven’t seen anyone act like she’s irredeemable until after she was confirmed as a trans woman this is starting to REEK of transmisogyny.

So genuinely asking TADC fans who have been here longer than me, was the fandom always acting like she’s 100x worse than she really is?

I (23NB) work as a bagger at a grocery store chain I’m not comfortable with mentioning, but I am probably working at the worst location. For context: the store I work at had to add some employees from another location that was being renovated and they always talk about how evil this specific location is. For example: the scheduling sucks and they’ll schedule 2 baggers and three cashiers, making things incredibly stressful for when one bagger has to do chores, and the lower wages; the employees from the other store were getting paid 10 an hour. If you started at my location, you get paid 10 an hour if you’re male and 8-9 an hour if you’re female (I am nonbinary but I’m still in the closet so I’ll be referring to myself as a woman exclusively because I pass as such)

So one of the managers from the other store was moved here and pretty much everyone who works at my store absolutely despises him except for his two favorites. One of these workers is usually the only other bagger I’m scheduled to work with and he rarely actually does his job even when it’s really busy. He’s regularly called out of work without reason, slacked off, and allegedly he’s training to work at the front desk, but he’s been training for a very long time so I don’t believe it. Ive had so many nights where I had to bag for all three registers at once while the heat pours in. All the cashiers have complained about this too but nothing has been done yet. He also takes longer than he should be allowed to on his breaks. I brought this up to the manager and he interrupted me in the middle of my sentence and said it was “none of my concern”. This is a lie. He gets here an hour before me and thus im not allowed to have my break until he gets back from his, so this is absolutely my concern. In fact that manager always says “that’s none of your concern” every time this employee is criticized for his laziness. Another major problem with him is that fact that he always makes me the one to go outside alone at almost 9pm to gather carts before we close. I have routinely expressed to him that I am not comfortable with doing that because as a woman, it is INCREDIBLY dangerous for me to go out there alone. Despite this he keeps asking me to do it.

So last night he once again forced me to be the only bagger for three registers while the other guy was slacking off. It was extremely busy and i nearly passed out from the heat and stress and when I begged the manager to get the other guy’s help he said “that’s none of your concern.” After it slowed down and we reached the point where we usually get sent off the do chores (which I like doing because it gives me a break from the chaos) but I was only allowed to do two things and couldn’t do either until 30 minutes before closing. I was absolutely livid and I wanted to tell my abusive manager off so badly, I didn’t even care how I acted anymore. Later as I was trying to front the frozen section, a front desk worker came to tell me to get the carts in the almost empty parking lot (again completely alone at night) I said “tell [the manager] I don’t want to get kidnapped” and that manager didn’t say anything else to me the rest of the night, though I think I overheard him talking about me.

I might get fired when I go back tomorrow so for now I wanna know, AITA for acting like this?

Idk if I like the fact that my sims can just age up after a few days without me doing anything and I can only reset the timer once. Especially considering how long adulthood (pre seniorhood 20s-60s) lasts and that there’s only one stage of adulthood in this game.

Edit: Ok i didn’t realize I can always reset sims ages BUT I still don’t know how to feel about this

So where I live it’s been raining a lot and some of the wildlife from the nearby creeks have been getting out and about because of it and there have been TWO times this month where I found a turtle in the middle of the road that I had to save. Both times I just lightly picked it up by the shell and placed it on the grass nearby. I had no idea what else to do. Was this the right course of action and if not what can I do next time?

Hate the lack of diversity in the hair (especially for toddlers and preteens) and I wanna start this event but idk how to trigger it. I already have two sims with the fashion design hobby btw

Ok I know this is grim but it’s kinda boring that sims can only die of old age. What if I wanna make a story where someone dies young? Also something I know about the sims community is their obsession with comically killing off their sims and FreePlay is missing that

I havent played the actual sims games (don’t bug me about it it’s not my fault EA doesn’t wanna put them on Chromebook) but from what I’ve seen something I like about the games is how there’s NPCs everywhere that you can interact with. I think that’s something that’s really missing. Apart from the community market and the quests there’s barely any NPCs to interact with and make the world actually feel lived in (especially since there’s a limit on how many sims you can make)

The water buffalo song from veggietales but it’s Mother Gooseberry singing it for her show and Dr Futterman acts as Archie and interrupts her in the middle of the song to tell her people are gonna complain about not having water buffalos. Also the people writing nasty letters are other prime assets
The title may suggest otherwise but I might do it. The problem is I’m not talented or patient enough for something like this and every time I imagine this animatic it’s always with qassimello’s cutesy style bc I think it works better lol
