Music shops / place for a guitar setup

I just picked up a secondhand guitar and it’s got a weird harmonic on just one string that I can’t dial out. I’m new to the area; are there any local music instrument shops or guitar techs in town?

Old Masetti acoustic

In the spirit of the beautiful ‘57 Maton that was posted, here’s one of my treasures. I had been searching for a classical guitar and just wanted something a little more unique than the same old dyed yellow Yamahas that are everywhere. Saw this on online and the woman selling it for $200 said she had a buyer that would only give her $75 because of the rough condition it was in (headstock hole was cracked). I told her she needed to look on Reverb and online for Masetti guitars and that I was pretty confident the other buyer was trying to rip her off and flip it. She sold it to me on the condition that I promised to actually play it and not flip it (it was her grandfather’s). I had some work done to fix it, tuning machines were shot on one side, the nut was cracked, etc. I probably devalued it some, don’t really know what it’s worth if it’s not one their double-neck “harp guitars” but I still think it’s cool. The sticker inside obscures the date, I think it was built in 1939. Sorry the pictures aren’t better. Anyhow, I love this thing and thought I’d share.

Anybody moved with a G16 to a region with different power?

Just moved from the US to the UK and don’t have my power supply handy. Wondering if I need all-new, or if I can just replace the cord from the brick to the wall. Anyone done it?

Changes after 15 years away

I’ve been away since 2011 with work and just getting a week back in town as I transit to my next station. Been lurking here for years just to try and keep tabs. I’ve seen stuff talking about Eegee’s not being as good, but it’s still been a real treat having it again! Their grinder is still my favorite “long sandwich”. And man, have I missed good burritos! Also, I was thrilled to see Skate Country looks like it’s still running!

But what’s with all the smoke shops?! Did some local legislation pass that said we needed a bunch of them?

Disco 3/4 opinions?

Hey, all. I used to own an ‘05 LR3 (in the States, obviously) from roughly 2012 to 2018 and it might’ve been the best vehicle I ever owned… when everything was working. It was not without its problems.

I lived in the UK from 2000-2003 and now I’m moving back to the Cotswolds and wondering if a used Disco 3 or 4 might be a good fit for my wife and kids. I don’t really know the difference between the two beyond the superficial exterior stuff. Did the Disco 4 get more reliable? Were my problems (everything electrical hobbling at the same time) just an artifact of being a first production year?

Forza Horizon 6 unplayable on a 4080?

I played a ton of Forza Horizon 5 via the Xbox app, but eventually I noticed it was getting choppier and choppier, and the laptop was getting HOT. Haven't played in a while for that reason. Tried FH6 today and... the same. It's so choppy it's unplayable. I figure I'll try turning the setting way down, and I've got my G16 sitting on a cooling pad with fans but this sucks.

Back on the mainland in the ‘00s it always seemed like Buicks were super slow, being driven by 80-year olds, etc. Are Mitsubishis the old person car of choice here?

Hey, everybody. I got hit with a short notice move by my company, so we’re trying to sell dang near everything. Yard sale today until 2pm in Yigo on Chalan La Chanch.

Head up the hill toward Andersen, look for the orange signs. Hope this is allowed, thank you, and we’re gonna miss Guam!

Edit: OOF! Y’all helped us out a LOT! We’ve sold almost everything except for some kids toys and Electra Townie bicycles. Might have to close already. Thank you!!!
