Is public transportation practical, or do you need a car?
Hi everyone, I’m wondering how practical public transportation is here. Is it good enough for getting around day to day, or would I basically need a car?

I recently started working with a marketing/production company, and they've asked me to do cold calling.
One thing I'm confused about is how to even find the right numbers. Most of the numbers I find seem to be for the receptionist or front desk, not the owner or decision-maker.
Also, what should I actually say when I call? I'm completely new to cold calling, so any tips, scripts, or advice would be really helpful
Salam,
I'm looking for an affordable, mid-range hotel/resort in that's family-friendly, has a nice beach, and has a modest atmosphere.
Does anyone have any recommendations? If you've stayed somewhere you liked, I'd appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!
Salam,
I'm looking for a decent beach that's open after 8 PM. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, how much is the entry fee?
Thanks!
Al Salam Alaikum,
I've been thinking about joining a cycling club and wanted to hear from people who are already in one. What's the experience like? How often do you ride, what's the community like, and would you recommend it
When starting a new SaaS, what's your planning process before development?
I'm referring to things like: User flows
Website/app pages
Features & modules
Database design
APIs
User roles & permissions
Dashboard structure
MVP scope
Validation/testing
Do you follow a specific methodology (PRDs, user stories, DDD, wireframes, event storming, etc.) or do you have your own workflow?
I'm looking for a structured approach to plan everything before building and avoid unnecessary features.
Any templates, resources, or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Salam everyone,
I'm looking to learn Urdu from complete beginner level, with my ultimate goal being to speak it fluently.
Do you have any recommendations for YouTube channels, apps, websites, textbooks, or other resources that helped you learn? If you have a study plan or tips for beginners, I'd really appreciate those as well.
Thanks in advance!
I'm looking for genuinely great movies with strong stories, memorable characters, and meaningful themes.
I'd prefer movies that aren't overly political or ideological and that avoid unnecessary sex scenes, nudity, or shock value. I also prefer stories with traditional or grounded character dynamics rather than ones focused on identity or social messaging.
I'm open to any genre as long as it's a well-written, engaging film. Any recommendations?
I recently watched The Blind Side and absolutely loved it. It has a really deep, emotional story with great character development. I also liked that it had little to no unnecessary drama or sexual content it just focused on the story and the people.
Can anyone recommend movies with a similar feel? I'm looking for inspiring, heartfelt films based on true stories (or ones that feel like they could be), with strong characters and minimal romance or sex scenes. Thanks!
I know the ACCA Practical Experience Requirement (PER) needs to be signed off by a qualified person.
My manager has a CPA qualification, but he hasn't renewed his CPA membership, so it's no longer active. Can he still sign off my PER, or does he need to have an active CPA membership for ACCA to accept it??
I'm currently working in accounting and want to move into Financial Analysis / FP&A. I know the accounting basics and some financial analysis, but what skills should I focus on to become competitive?
Is it mainly Excel, Power BI, SQL, financial modeling, ERP, or something else? What helped you break into FP&A and what your day looks like?
I’m considering moving to South Africa and wanted to understand the safety situation in Cape Town and Durban. Is it generally okay to live in most decent areas, or do you usually need to pay more for safer neighbourhoods? What should newcomers know before choosing where to live?
I’ve always been interested in the idea of having a small home, solar power, my own water source, and maybe a small farm to become more self-sufficient. For people who have actually tried this or looked seriously into it, how realistic is it compared to how it looks in our imagination?
I’m curious about the real journey: the challenges, costs, unexpected difficulties, and whether it’s something an average person can realistically build over time.
