A friend of mine said she wanted to try another commander, just to vary her play style between matches. She also said that she wanted to try something that plays flashback-like effects and counterspells.
Her other two decks she plays are Fire Lord Azula and Sheoldred the Apocalypse, but she loses every time because everyone keeps destroying her commanders, since they can be a threat just after 1 turn. I suggested that she should play a commander that that isn’t the sole focus of the deck (and maybe that flies under the radar the first couple of times) so that she could play without the commander on the field.
My three suggestions were Teval, Muldrotha and Sevinne, since those can help build your strategy a lot faster, but are not necessarily essential to keep your deck going. Do you know other commanders that match these criteria? Do you have a list I can work with? Any help is really appreciated!
