i am thinking about using bazzite as my main os for my pc but when i launched the live installer i noticed that there is no option to add a super user, so how can i do it or is it alredy configured by default? It's very important for me.
a few months ago i tried to install win 11 in my main pc but when its installing it reboots at 50% aprox, i had linux on that drive but deleted all the partitions in the nvme. Also when rebooting and launching the installer again it says that the installation was completed and i should remove the drive but after removing it the pc reboots again and doesnt find windows it tried some solutions from old posts but none have worked. The specs are: rtx 5070 ti btf edition tuf gaming, ryen 7 7800x3d, tuf gaming b850 btf, corsair mp700 elite 1tb and corsair vengance 32gb ddr5 6000mhz. I tweaked my bios a little for undervolting and fast boot and expo are also enabled, resizable bar is enabled too but i dont think it is the cause of the issue.

im trying to install artix open rc using the base iso on a laptop without an ethernet port but the thing is the connmanctl command cant be found, What can i do?
im about to distro hop and i want to try something new, i do some productivity tasks, a lot of browsing and i also like the browser to be customizable, both seem to be suitable for this but im privacy obsessed too. So can anybody give some advice?
About 6 months ago i bought my first iphone, right after that i started to get interested in privacy and ios doesn‘t let you do nor change as much things as an andorid, i use most proton products such as mail, pass, drive, vpn, auth, meet and calendar. But i feel like i’m missing some other things, so i would appreciate if anybody was kind enough to let me know if there’s anything else i should change.
So since in the most recent update now the installer automatically installs noctalia shell when selecting hyprland, is there any way i can just install hyprland without noctalia or do i have to install cachy with no desktop and do it from scratch?
i want to i install niri + noctalia, but i heard the installer installs the v4, did that change?
i know you can never achieve “stability” on a rolling release distro but as an arch user i think that maybe tumbleweed might be a little bit more stable, i am a person that travels a lot for work reasons and i cant take my desktop with me, so i might be away for a week or a month so how does tumbleweed manage that?
so im trying to install hyprland on artix but i am a “simple” person i dont want to create my own dotfiles and among the pre-made ones i like the ml4w dotfiles, now, im wondering if anybody has tried these on artix, i know stephan has simplified the installation by making it a single script (bash <(curl -s https://ml4w.com/os/stable) but i think it relies on systemd for some services is there any way to fix this issue?, or maybe im just confused

I am a complete begginer in the gnu guix world, but i would like to know how does it work with nvidia since they dont provide fully open source drivers, so is there any way i can get drivers working?
Im going back to arch in my main system, it has an nvidia gpu (a 5070 ti to be more exact), last time i used arch on my pc i installed the proprietary gpu drivers, but a lot of things have changed since then like i want to go open source in as most things as i can, that includes drivers, the graphical drivers options are: the open kernel( wich is the one im gonna choose ), and noveau, i chose the open kernel ones just because they are more suitable in theory. Now i want to know if they are really open source(the first option), because i heard nvidia just wrapped things into the open kernel and they aren’t truly open source. In case anybody wonders why i am doing this its because i just want to.
But before i would like to know a few things, i have a 5070 ti and i know free bsd has proprietary nvidia drivers, but will they work on my gpu?, are there any issues or advice about drivers i should be aware of?(my pc parts are in my bio), second i would like to use hyprland but i dint know what dotfiles are available or work in free bsd, i used the ml4w dotfiles on arch but of course they wont work in FBSD. Sorry if some questions are/sound stupid, im just trying to start understanding it before i make the final switch
I have had a long lasting relationship with her for about 2 years, last year i built my pc after years of saving money, and as soon as it was reddy i started playing and installing all the steam games i had bought during steam sales (thanks valve), she got angry because i paid more attention to my pc than her, i told her we could play together but didn’t wanted listen, after some tile i found out she had been cheating on me with another guy and so i left her, she even complained that it was all my fault, i should have felt bad after all the presents and help i gave her during those years, that afternoon i was playing battlefield 6 happy and quiet at last. No regrets.
I am new to artix openrc, i installed it in my laptop with dwm from suckless.org because its pretty old and now i want to give the next step to switch in my main pc, i am a hyprland user in arch but i would like to know if anybody has tested the ml4w dotfiles on artix or if they even work
Hello everyone, for the past 2 months i moved my system from cachy os to ubuntu, but now i miss pacman and the rolling release system, so i want to go back to an arch based system, and artix seems perfect since it doesn’t have systemd, now i played with the openrc iso a little bit in a vm, but i mist confess i am a hyprland lover, so i would like to know if anybody with experience in artix could give me any advice on how to set it up, or any tips on how to do it.
hello everybody, recently i switched from arch to ubuntu for work reasons i had my niri+DMS setup configured and stable back in arch but on ubuntu i dont know if its the same, i found this script wich automates the installation its official from dms but i would like to know if anyone tried it and what experience they had.
