First time at SD Zoo and Wow!

I was skeptical given that it was $156 ish for me and wife and we were almost not going to go, but thank God we did, well well well worth the money. We were there for like 5 ish hours and saw most of everything not all though. Here are some of favorites and the pictures I caught !

For those who live in Seattle, San Diego, or NYC, what do you think are the biggest pros and cons of living there?

since about October of 2025 I've been to a lot of cities (US) these being the bigger cities that i went to that i enjoyed the MOST. I'm curious to hear from people who actually live in these places. What do you think are the biggest pros and cons of living there day-to-day? I'm especially interested in things that you wouldn't necessarily notice as a tourist.

I like all three fairly well, and here's the ranking for my first visit to each went:

  1. Seattle-I know people are going to hate me for SD not being first, but Seattle was awesome the first time i went, a lot to do, went to the museums, parks, ate a lot of food in downtown, Belltown and Sea/Tac Tukwila area. Went around the space needle and obviously pike place too, ferry to west Seattle is cool. Overall a great experience for me and Overall, definitely a city I'd like to visit again and explore more of the national parks and the mountains.

  2. San Diego-this is my most recent trip (last week). We stayed in Little Italy area and drove all round and ate at some good Mexican restaurants, cafes and pizza in Coronado, The sunset at Coronado facing SD was absolutely beautiful, the weather was great, almost to great as i got sunburnt on my neck and face. Balboa park is top tier, the Natural History Museum was okay but the Navy SEAL museum was cool to me, the SD Zoo was the best I've been to easily and I've been to Cincy zoo and Bronx zoo, but the animals and coverage of animals, and sections was crazy. Also had In-N-Out for the first time and i don't know why everyone make a big deal about it, it was pretty good but nothing crazy, milkshake was really good though. Another great west coast experience.

  3. NYC-Stayed in Long Island but drove to the city (i know not a good idea) and went to time square during the day and at night which was surreal at night, had the best breakfast sandwich I've veer had in my entire life. Also took the fairy to Staten Island and saw the statue of liberty otw which was awesome, also had pizza in Staten island which was pretty good. Grand Central Station is super unique and cool to see in person. Chinatown was neat little shops and what not. 9/11 Memorial was a great experience too, Didn't have a chance for central park unfortunately, but nevertheless was a good experience!

What are some BP skins you like that others seemingly don't or hate

I got a good amount but for sure but some of the ones I can think that I like that I don't see often are Guggimon , Vendetta and Nezumi

HM: Malik, Bunker Jonesy (slowly starting to become my main) and Oscar.

What's A City That Shocked You When You First Visited?

I'm going to say Cleveland for me as its been always kind of meh until i went back recently and there's new buildings, renovated neighborhoods, more restaurants and breweries going up, and a lot of effort going into downtown area and near the lakefront. You can see the improvement easily compared to even 5-10 years ago. On the other hand, Cleveland still has many challenges, public transit being a big one as it isn’t great, winters can be brutal, and some parts of town are slower to rebound than others. But it’s not a city going down rather its just evolving more, it’s holding steady and finding ways to reinvent itself and be better little by little.

People That Live/Lived In Florida Do/Did You Like It?

As a life long Florida native, i was curious on peoples opinions and thoughts about Florida. Do you like being/living here and or did you like living here or are you stuck here? did you leave and miss it or don't miss it? Just looking for anyone's overall experiences on the state as i want to leave but thinking it could be a mistake as i will miss it greatly as family is here and all the memories i had here throughout my life will make me want to come back.

Is The U.S. Becoming An Overrated Destination for Trips?

i recently was talking to someone that is from central EU, and he was saying "your country is overrated and it all looks the same." I hear this all the time and i don't understand it. i guess from the outside looking in it could look like that but its far from the truth. I think the U.S. is expensive to travel within compared to foreign traveling, However, for road trips, scenic national parks, and nature, it remains tough to beat in my opinion. What do you guys think ?

Good first intl trip location?

Want to go to Poland for my first intl trip early next year. And wife wants to go to Italy. What would be a good middle ground place or different place you recommend for good food and good experience all around for a first time out the country?

Rank them from worst to best

Saw this picture from like 4 years ago and was curious on how everyone would rank these. Mine would be:

  1. Bubblicious
  2. Blue ras
  3. Tropical mango
  4. Citrus
  5. Red berry ( sorry hate this one)

How is it living in Utah (Specifically the eastside)?

was thinking of taking a trip here soon to SLC, or Park city area to see and adventure to know if i like it enough to move. Live in FL and hate, i want better nature access, mountains, and better QOL overall maybe i can find it there or maybe not. I wanted to hear peoples experiences there living and or visiting,
thank you.

u/Evaxis_ — 3 months ago

Overrated but still good

I know this flavor is talked out the wazoo. Finally tried and yah it's mid. Better than the sour warhead for sure but not sour patch blueberry specifically ( red one sucks). I would say my favorites like orangesicle, swedish fish, or citrus are better for sure but I would put it at my 5 for my top 5 for me.
