we're taught from the beginning that light is good and dark is evil. God is light. darkness is where the bad things live. But genesis doesn't open that way "the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. and the Spirit of God moved upon the waters." Before the first word of light, god was already there. Brooding in the dark. the darkness wasn't the problem. it was the starting point. the womb. the condition that made the first word possible. I've been sitting with what that actually means for a long time. To say this even allowed is a step out of fear. Because if darkness is where God begins, what does that do to every person who has ever felt that the dark parts of their life were evidence of absence rather than presence.

What if we had it completely backwards. What if the void isn't where God left. what if it's where God works.

i wrote a book that lives in this question. not a theology book. not self help. something in between, part myth, part essay, part story about a tow truck driver in portland who is losing his grip on what anything means.

He was the most beautiful thing in the room, and he knew it. Not in the way a creature knows its own reflection. He had never needed a mirror. He knew it the way light knows it illuminates: automatically, totally, without effort or question. The knowing was not separate from the being.

He began to notice things. Small things, at first.

The way certain tasks were assigned without explanation. The way some beings were permitted access to rooms he had never entered, despite his evident superiority.

Why can't I go there?
Because it is not yet time.
Time for what?
For you to understand.

He did not like that answer. It assumed a deficit in him, a gap between what he was and what he could comprehend. But he had no gaps. He was complete. He was the most complete thing he had ever encountered.

The silence, he decided, was not wisdom. It was concealment.

This became the opening chapter of a longer work connecting the fall narrative to contemporary displacement and the collapse of meaning in modern life. I began writting this while in the NICU with my twin babies for multiple months after the sudden death of my mom at only 50 to brain cancer. My tragedies, triumphs, and studies led me to you.

It is both historical atlas and cosmological chart—each event located simultaneously in time and within the sacred framework of the Fractured Mirror Theory.
The timeline tracks four variables across forty-six data points spanning 102,000 years:
Lumen: Coherence pressure—the force pushing toward integration, shared meaning, and stable identity. Measured on a scale of 0–100.
Rive: Rupture pressure—the force pushing toward fragmentation, individual meaning-burden, and identity dissolution. Measured on a scale of 0–100.
Gradient (ΔP): The difference between Lumen and Rive. When positive, meaning infrastructure holds. When negative, it fails. When it approaches zero, the Apoclymus threshold is crossed.
Velum: The thickness of the membrane between human experience and the Voidal—the fullness beyond distinction. When the velum thins, what ancestors held at bay seeps through. When it tears, everything changes.
Each data point is anchored to a sacred text from the canon, demonstrating that the cosmological framework is not imposed upon history but derived from its structure.

I have been producing music and writing lyrics and performing in shows and organizing events for a decade. I am 29 and have 4 kids now. (Twins plus an adopted son took me from a father of 1 to a father of 4 in less than 18 months. ) sooo yeah. Got a full family to think of and provide for. Am I truly suppose to sit around and complain about the tech? Or am I suppose to do what I have always wanted and make movies with no restrictions or budget issues? I was made to make movies I knew it at 5. But god it’s so bittersweet that I’m being so constantly berated for being fluent and ambitious with the current tech. As if Illustrator and photoshop and vfx haven’t blurred the lines of art for decades. As did photography for portrait artists before that. Can any of you Antis admit that your futile attempts to create change may only be hurting individuals who are coming to this all from a genuine place and a desire to provide and teach?
