I got her for 0.99 last december. My first novi star after re finding them since when I was a child. it was like a Christmas gift, I was so happy.

it makes me really sad that the price spiked like that due to resellers. (and if you know where to look, youve seen the listings of them hoarding dozens and selling them for higher).

I feel sad for the people who are going to find them and they’re simply going to be more expensive than they need to be for no reason.

that being said, I absolutely cannot sympathise with some of you. some people will complain about their childhood doll Mae that they cannot find for cheap for the life of them, even tho she’s the most common one, both for America and eu. if resellers can find where to buy them for cheap why can’t you? all it takes is ten minutes in the sub, when I first came across them again, I had already found three places where I could buy cheap novis from, before the now dozens of comments giving you instructions, in this very sub. you will come out here and say you don’t want aliexpress dolls but you’d rather buy them for 70 off of a reseller? even tho they have literally the mga watermark?

also, I would advice to stay away from people who ask “how much is she worth”. remember that asshole recently who asked about a Mimi who was supposedly their childhood doll? they were a reseller and it was also confirmed by the mod.

I texted this person because they were interested in selling Mimi And I was interested in buying. Now I’m wondering, why are some of yall encouraging someone to sell a Mimi for 300-500 especially at that ratty hair state? Especially someone who is based in Europe. Is there a way to see a sold history on vinted? Because we could see all the Mimi prices that way.

and before some Americans come to me with “supply vs demand” the 500$ Mimi that sold was sitting for at LEAST 6 months before she did. Why do yall not mention that? That seller literally claimed they saw a mimi sell for 300 in a “similar state” which is obviously a lie. Not even sure why they blocked me, i didnt respond to their louise message (what does that even mean?)

Tbh I’m a bit sad about this but at the same time glad I saved money. I often joked about getting him a ps5 or he joked about me doing it. I love this boy a lot so I was like yk what I’ll do it. he told me if I were to get him a ps5 I could get the cheapest one, as long as it’s the ps5. Meaning not the pro nor the disc version, just digital. Im a gamer myself and I really like owning discs, so I thought I’d get I him the standard version. i teased that I would buy it, and in the end close to his birthday , he started telling me that he doesn’t want the standard version but the pro version which if I’m not mistaken is 100-200 more than the standard, just to have the “best gta 6 experience“. He did tell me that he didn’t want me to get him the console in general, because it’s expensive. It kinda put me off because I really wanted to do this for him, but him being all like “oh I want the pro, it’s better for gta that way” threw me off. The pro can’t be THAT different, I bet there’s not even a difference in graphics. This also happened during the recent price heightening of the ps5, but since he kept going about wanting the pro I just decided to call it off. Like I mentioned earlier, he didn’t want me to buy it anyway, but I know he would’ve loved it if I did. Meh. Feel free to share any thoughts

Let’s talk about this because everyone is blaming the scalpers but no one is blaming the people who enable them. anything above 500 is insane, and most of us know that 500 is already insane and unrealistic. we’ve only reached this point because people are listing novis for 1k and someone is BUYING them?? crazy. you are making collecting worse for EVERYONE. And no I’m not bitter. I HAVE doe. I got her for 80. my friend got her for 150. and I encourage anyone who has her to drop the price they bought her at because I know some people are seeing this and losing hope, just like I did six months ago when I started collecting. you guys are paying more than a wage just because you don’t want to be patient, and it factually DOES make the prices worse. this is why the bratz community has more normal prices (or at least not 500-1k???)and we’re stuck in the situation we are in.

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but this is a HUUGE dilemma for me. I love both styles so much, I think I’m just going to display her with straight and then just curl it in a few days because they both look so good 😭😭😭

my aliexpress Mae arrived and I can’t believe I’m so in love. just put her up on display yesterday along with beach alie. my collection is finally coming together, and I absolutely cannot wait for my Malie and Tula to arrive 💙💙💜

I can’t get over the little spark because of the light. inspired by two older stellar skinz twins that were posted here in the past.

I wish I had taken a proper before. Pic two is when I received her, you can’t actually tell how bad the hair is below. I got her for my friend in Spain, but they got a new one and were kind enough to sell her to me (at a very cheap price too).I wet her hair a little, and went straight to straightening and combing (because it looked like it was tangled- heat damage, so I didn’t want to comb beforehand and ruin it further). Surprisingly I love the result, and she was also missing her hands when we ordered her, so I dyed some Mae hands with her colors and boom! Don’t ask me why they’re red instead of yellow, I only thought of it after I painted them 😭

hey gals and aliens. I decided to put the zombie girl at 3,8 euro so hopefully that’s affordable, I’m making 3€ after the cults commission. Currently almost halfway from the 80 I paid for her to be made. is the price okay? will it be more affordable if it’s lower?

also happy update, (kind of) I tried sculpting the mermaid on my own but it didn’t go that well, so I decided I’ll commission another artist for her, and now that the zombie exists as a base, she will be a lot more affordable for me at 60€. I just got a job so she’ll be available preetty soon:D

I would like to add that I’m sure some are displeased that these aren’t sculpted by me, but I rather commission someone and get at least SOME of the money back (like a team effort for the model) rather than all of us drooling every time we see someone who made it but didn’t put it up for sale.
