Nightmare Blunt Rotation

You have to make it from Melbourne to Darwin (either go along the coastline or through the outback) in one of these cars

  1. We have a beautiful chopped audi a4 with lovely 2.0T paired with an equally dependable cvt which has seen better days. You’ll have to figure out how to start it and fix the problem.

  2. A tastefully modified Holden Captiva that ‘needs repairs’ however the fun part is that the repairs are a surprise! Could be anything from an o2 sensor to a seized engine.

  3. a vehicle that is basically synonymous with reliability, a jeep patriot thats been wounded in combat- that is having a broken catalytic converter and few window and wear and tear issues. You might think that the car doesnt need a catalytic converter and that would be too easy. So did I, so one of the ‘wear and tear’ issues include no a/c, no radio and no speedometer. And you can bring anything with you that will help these issues (no speakers, speed measurement instruments etc.)

Let me know what you’re taking.

Throwback to my Audi A4 that did 300k km with no issues

My first car when I was 15- 2003 audi a4 1.8t got it for basically nothing from a friend, had about 275k (I wanted a nice badge in something other than a hatchback that wasnt too old dont come at me I was only 15🙏)

Drove it nearly 30k km (which is quite alot for a learner) on private property and ofc when I got my learners.

I drove it pretty hard too, could sit comfortably at 110 in 40 degree weather with the ac on

In that time it had not a single problem. Changed the oil and coolant myself, learnt how to change spark plugs as well

Besides the oil sensor light and the clock resetting every time it turned on it had no problems at all. Original engine and CVT as well.

Take care of your cars guys, I only got rid of it when my dad decided he didnt want his x5 anymore (which turned out to have infinitely more problems as per my other post)

Before all of yall say “German= bad” “audi=shit” just take a look at this

Ive got a forester now and I hope I can get it to minimum 300k as well

Thoughts on GMC in Australia

Theyve clearly had to drop the prices and they actually are probably only slightly bigger than a landcruiser. I actually like American luxury cars but im a wierdo. I think it looks good but gmc just doesn’t have the brand identity something like bmw and Mercedes have, I reckon if gmc and stuff was in Australia for 20, 30 years these would sell decently well but no one knows what they are for the price

Havent gotten a single A this semester

Year 11 sem 1 lowkey realised that I havent gotten a single A or A+ this entire semester which is just about finished. Only chance of an A is legal exam or outdoor ed sac or English exam which haven’t been graded yet. Only sac I failed was Psychology aos 1 which half the class also failed. Psych exam I got a B which is a nice improvement. Highest grade ive gotten this semester is a B+ in general maths, then a bunch of Bs in other subjects. Tbf I picked the most random classes, including food studies which I know nothing about nor do I really care for. Just kind of depressing, considering me in year 7 used to get nearly straight As. I also dont really study outside of school which probably isnt the best.
