If Oda made a short spin-off following one existing character outside the main story, who would you pick?

I’d probably go with Mihawk. I think a short spin-off covering his journey and what he was doing before the main story would be really interesting. Who would you guys pick?

holaOS pairs an Electron desktop path with readable local memory files

An agent desktop has at least two state problems: the UI lifecycle, and the durable record that still needs to make sense after the window or session is gone.

A publicly inspectable project called holaOS documents an interesting split. Its install guide includes an optional Electron launch for desktop development. Its README says Claude Code, Codex, and the built-in agent share one workspace, with shared memory stored locally as readable and editable files.

The specific value is inspectability. The durable record is not described as chat history that only one agent or one interface can see; the documented workspace gives multiple agents a shared file-based memory surface. That makes the storage boundary visible enough to evaluate instead of burying all context inside the desktop shell.

The docs do not say which process owns writes, how locking works, or what happens during conflicting edits and recovery. Those are the parts I would inspect in the repository before trusting the split—and the reason holaOS is more interesting to me than another Electron wrapper around an agent chat.

If you were reviewing this architecture, would you look at write ownership, atomicity, conflict handling, or migration first?

I can afford to coast, so why can’t I make myself do it?

So I’ve done the math like 20 times. 7% returns, 4% rule, every FIRE calculator I can find.

They all basically say the same thing: I’m fine. I could stop saving so aggressively, coast for a while, and probably be okay.

And yet I’m still maxing my 401k, still at the same job, still stressed out.

Every time I think about taking my foot off the gas, my brain immediately goes: what if the market tanks at the worst possible time? What if I leave tech for a few years and can’t get back in? Especially with AI changing everything so fast, it feels like stepping away could make me obsolete overnight.

I know the numbers say otherwise. The problem isn’t really the numbers anymore. It’s fear.

Part of me wants to finally do something I actually cared about when I was younger. Maybe try documentary filmmaking or something completely different.

But there’s also this uncomfortable question: if I’m not working toward the next salary bump or savings milestone, who am I?

I even dumped all my accounts into edwealth just to see everything in one place and run different scenarios. It actually helped seeing the whole picture instead of numbers scattered everywhere.

Still haven’t pulled the trigger though.

Has anyone here actually reached the point where they could coast and then... actually did it? How did you get past the mental block?

Which Straw Hat has changed the most since they joined the crew?

I'm not talking about strength or power-ups, but actual character development.

For me, Robin and Usopp are strong candidates, but I'm curious who everyone else would pick and why.
