I executed my free will and made this. I might not survive the night.

Po bardzo długim okresie stagnacji, leczenia, przyjmowania różnych leków, jest mi w końcu lepiej. Za tym poszły gotowanie, pilnowanie makro, aktywność fizyczna oraz więcej siły, energii i aktywności jako takiej. Wyczekiwałam i pracowałam na to około czterech lat.

Tak się jaram gotowaniem i dobrym jedzeniem, że zdecydowałam się podzielić kompozycją.

Co na talerzu?
Lepki kalafior w ostrzejszej przylepce okraszony szczypiorem
Pieczone bataty i marchewka w ziołach
Gotowana kukurydza
Szpinak z pomidorkami cherry
Czosnkowy skyr z ziołami

Bardzo miałam ochotę dołożyć do tego stek, ale w okolicy nie mogłam znaleźć nic sensownego. Następnym razem 😉

Ofc I see the mistakes, but it was so much fun to make :D

I will dismantle it in a few days to practise more with different pixels.

I’d love to make LotR pieces for my hubby; we are both huge fans of Tolkien, and it would be a nice gift and fun to make while listening to the audiobooks. Total immersion :D

I wanted to share with you how losing my contract turned out in the long run. This is the post about losing it.

After weeks of an emotional roller coaster, mostly related to the recruitment process, crushed self-esteem for a day or two with every rejection, I am celebrating success.

For the past three weeks, there were three options on the table:

1. Normal contract of employment (it means normal labour law protection, PTO, sick leave, training, courses, certifications, mentoring, bonuses… *stability*) with a great salary

2. A contract via 3rd party for one of the EU institutions - my income would more or less double, in theory, some stability, no labour law protection, possibility of more contracts for the EU’s various institutions.

3. A contract via 3rd party for a financial institution - no significant change in income, no labour law protection, same unstable situation as a contractor, a great team of professionals on the client’s side with potential for a big skills jump.

Yesterday, I received the offer for the 1st option. It was hard to maintain my professional composure, as tears of joy and relief streamed down my face. Today, after a careful analysis of the prospects, I’m accepting it and preparing to sign the contract.

My husband is very proud of me, and I’m proud of myself, too. Finally, I found a place I can stay for the years to come, support us, and do what I love, and grow in a great environment.

Hiya! Just a reminder to take dental care of your goblins seriously. Hen is now toothless; Chicken has only four; and Miau-Miau is also toothless.

Long story short, what led to this situation: starting some other health issues, not the best care before we adopted them, and a bad vet for some years. The last one hurts me the most, as I was sure I was giving them the best possible care.

Thankfully, the operations went well, and Chicken even has four teeth to brush.
