Egyptian Festival!

Still open through 7pm tonight. Food was amazing and everyone was incredibly welcoming and kind. As I understand it, this is their first year putting on the festival, and it’s an awesome addition to our community.

Bojangles Fuego Burrito

Saw the post in r/NorthCarolina, had to try it.

If you genuinely like spicy food, the heat level is over-hyped. Yes, it’s ghost pepper, so there is definitely some heat, but the burrito is fairly balanced with sausage, egg, cheese, potato and gravy. Swig of cold soda knocked the spice right away after a few bites. What surprised me most was that it’s actually pretty balanced and delicious.

Downsides: weird ass cheeto lookin red-40 wrap and the fact that a robot takes your order in the drive thru now (and does a shitty job at it).

For real panic-inducing levels of heat, order a side of grilled hot peppers from Camino Real, or a 10 spice-level dish from Curry and Noodle (beware, this is one hurts, bad).

Fellow spicy food lovers, what’s your favorite local dish/spot that delivers real heat?
