So I went into DKA at the start of this year and was diagnosed with T1D. But my parents seemingly still do not understand this illness, nor do they seem like they want to learn either.

My mom is kind of traumatized by T2D as almost all of her siblings, and both of her parents were T2D and she watched T2D complications slowly and painfully kill the both of them. And so because of that she took every measure in changing her lifestyle to make sure she avoided diabetes. We (me and my siblings) almost never had ultra processed foods or drinks in our food pantry or fridge growing up and were put in sports from a young age.

My parents seem to think that I’m a T2D diabetic and will tell me to limit or out right stop my short acting insulin usage…and then when my sugar is 300, 400 something they blame my diet even though I eat almost the same foods everyday, count my carbs, so on and so fourth. And I am very active physically (I have been running and lifting for the past several years for several days a week. I’m 170 lean at 5’8”).

I try to tell them that yes while my diet is important, things genuinely are not my fault.

Or if you are a cop / CO idk if yall allowed to answer cuz of privacy rights or some idk.

Don’t know where else to ask this. Most comfortable with this subreddit. If someone is experiencing something disturbing to be vague but they don’t want to be locked away for weeks or months and more so just a few days to get things under control, can they check themselves in without saying why/admitting too much to the people or will they be turned away.

23M been diagnosed SZA since 19 years old. For the most part in my day to day I do not deal with any auditory/visual/tactile hallucinations. Well I lied some auditory here and there but don’t we all hahaha. Regardless case in point when I use weed (or rather when I have used weed because I do not intend to anymore!), I have had the most damn near traumatizing experiences.

First thing I noticed every other object in the room looked as if it was breathing. I’d thought nothing of it because I was feeling dizzy from the high and thought that was related to it. But I was wrong. I turned over in bed to look at my girlfriend at the time and her skin was now bright yellow like a Simpson. Then I saw a life-sized Pac Man opening its mouth open and close as if he was getting ready to eat me slowly enter my dark room before she turned the lights on when I nervously asked “who the fuck is that” and she obviously did not see anyone there. It did disappear, but then I looked down at the floor the pile of clothes that was lying there was now a corpse (it was something more graphic but I’m trying to keep it PG13). And lastly, I started feeling someone/or something digging their nails/claws into my head, and every time I turned around to look back at who was doing it the sensation went away.

Fortunately my ex was aware of my condition and immediately walked me over to my medication and helped me take them. Though it took me a good 45 minutes to an hour before things started to calm down.

Don’t mean to break any rules I hope im not. But sooo basically I been wanting to take rap serious for a minute now and so I finally went out and got a mic, some headphones, and a interface to plug all of that into. I also got fl too. Thing is outside of rapping over beats and adding a preset to my voice I have no clue what the fuck im doing lol and I kinda don’t want to learn either cuz it looks too confusing so I’d much rather just pay someone to do it for me. Idk. They were the only person I’d hung out with irl. Had gone to concerts and bars together. And now I have no one. I feel so lonely.
