What do you guys think of Mike becoming a chief police in his future? After the last season, I have realised how much they have in common. Both are a fighter and very protective of their loved ones. Even their looks in these pics have resemblance. Hopper had been miserable and grieved for quite a while after loosing his first daughter, but then he was able to bounce back and constantly protects the ppl he cares about. So becoming a police chief would actually be impactful for Mike since it matches his brave and leadership personality, and it can force him to become stronger over time and overcome the guilt where he kept blaming himself for what happened with El. If Mike ever becomes a police chief, the loss of El would have been a great reminder for him to protect his loved ones and the whole town at all costs. What r ur thoughts on this?

I am so sorry but it’s the truth.😭 Yes, Ted and Holly did fight like once but they weren’t strong/badass enough. Holly only doing one smack at her harmless friend with the radio was nothing compared to everyone else fighting dangerous monsters from the other dimension unfortunately. Not to mention, she couldn’t even save Max from getting choked by Vecna either at the same time she had a poker stick in her hand. Also, anyone who disagrees with Mike being on the muscles side are totally insane because he is literally like one of the OG main characters who have been through so much throughout the series. He always puts himself out there getting ready to kick ass and he has proven himself as a strong fighter. Besides, he has done it way longer than both Karen and Holly even did. It seems like quite a lot of people have already forgotten or just don’t care about the fact that Mike is a brave leader who is often protective of his loved ones; and yet they have the nerve to call him useless and a “nothingburger”?? while the side characters like Karen and Holly gets all the praise?? when they only did like one or two things in literally only one season?? Honestly, it’s feels like people just love glaze on Karen, Holly, and Nancy as well. I often see comments on walk em down wheeler edits like “the wheeler women this”, “the wheeler women that,” “….except Mike,” or even “Mike takes after his father,” etc. It is getting absolutely irritating and it’s just really unfair to exclude Mike when he has literally been risking his life for years. There are facts that cannot be denied even if you don’t like it, not everything can be based on opinions.

I’ll go first! The moment I realised Mike is my favourite character was when he took El in his house and was practically the only one who was nice to her while the other two kids were a bit judgy at the time.

Those who said that Mike is weak, useless, did “nothing,” not badass or a “walk em down” wheeler, or like his father are totally out of their goddamn mind. Throughout the series, Mike has literally always been out there risking his life and fighting his ass off to save the world. He has been through it all way longer than both Karen and Holly whom people have been overly praising just because of one or two things they did in only one season. In fact, Mike deserves the title, “walk em down” wheeler along with Nancy more than anyone else does in the family. He is way stronger than Holly, Karen(kinda), and of course Ted. Besides(in season 5 especially), it’s not like Nancy did anything much until the last episodes meanwhile Mike totally carried volume 1. Even other characters like El, Joyce, Hopper, etc weren’t that relevant in this last season either. Both El and Hopper were sidelined the whole season, Joyce did nothing else besides being overprotective towards Will, both Dustin and Jonathan were too worried about their personal life and then picked a fight with Steve. Mike was the one of only people who was rational and fully focused on the plans. So why is everyone only attacking Mike when there were quite a lot of other characters who did less than he did?

There is no way in hell Ted, Holly, and maybe Karen are better Mike. The correct order is Nancy > Mike > Karen > Holly > Ted.
