Help me to understand by blood work and what to do next

Hello!

I'm 41, male.

Recently had my blood work and lipid panel show these results:

Total Cholesterol: 201 mg/dL

LDL: 131 mg/dL

HDL: 42 mg/dL

Triglycerides: 140 mg/dL

As I understood, it's not that bad BUT on ultrasound a plaque in cartroid artery was found, it's 25% stenosis but the report doesn't say whether it's hard or soft. All they say is that it's with smooth surface.

I'm worried to be honest.

Cardiologist said that I should take statins (zenon once a day).

But another cardiologist said that I may postpone.

I'm worried because I just had my gallbladder removed 4 months ago and as I understand, statins have bad effect on digestion.

So, what's wise to take?

I cannot say that my diet is really bad, no. I work from home and it at home mainly, not fatty food. It's mainly turkey / rice / pasta / mashed potato etc.

I don't exercise a lot because I had back injury before (used to be a fan of dumbells) but I take at least 10 000 steps daily. As I understand, it's not enough.

Are there maybe some other steps I make take before going to statins?

Thank you all for your help!

How to enjoy life while suffering some health issues?

Hello!

How do you cope with health anxiety?

And having some physical health issues. I'm just 41 and never expected to have some halth issues so early.

I developed a terrible habit of googling symptoms, illnesses. With doctors diagnoses it's sometimes drives me mad.

How to cope with it?

GERD after gallbladder removal

Hello!

How do you cope with constant bile flow?

I'm 4 months since op and everything was fine until the 3rd month - I felt a strange aftertaste and burning in my shoulder.

So, I'm taking ursofalk and alfazoxx now and scheduled to have a gastroscopy.

I hope it will adapt with time.

My HNR

After a bit of drift :)

It's a second pair of wheels already.

Love it :)

Unfortunately, I don't ride as often as I want too but each time it's a true pleasure.

I'm really worried about my health

Hello!

I'm 41, male.

Once I turned 40, something really strange happened with my mental health. Is it a midlife crisis or what, I don't know.

I started worrying about my health. At first (I was 38) it was a back injury (healed almost perfectly).

But around 40, doctors told me that I need to remove my gallbladder due to a large gallstone (2 cm at that moment).

After that, I had numerous ultrasounds, read opinions, reviews etc. I wasn't able to let these thoughts go away.

All I had, was just heaviness and a huge fear of removing the gallbladder. It scared me.

But, long story short, this January I had it removed and now I'm battling with reflux after that.

On top of that, I never had good eyesight, always wore glasses. I have astigmatism, approximately -4D in both eyes. And after 40 I noticed that texts on screens seem strangely, I have a feeling of pressure. I changed my glasses, it got better for a bit.

Almost all ophtalmogists told me that my eyes are healthy. Until the last one, which ordered OCT and it showed small Drusen in my both eyes. I did it for the first time in my life and I'm scared that it may lead to eyesight loss. Plus, another ophthalmologist found a cobblestone retinal degeneration. He told me not to worry as it's usually benign.

The cardiologist found a plaque in my cartorid artery (25%stenosis) and suggested statins. I'm still thinking about it though.

And plus, after gallbladder removal, I have a bile reflux now with possibly GERD.

All these gnawing at me, I have a huge health anxiety which sometimes overwhelms me. I understand that this is my main issue but I cannot defeat it.

So, is there anyone with things like these? Is it all serious? Or just observe for now?

I read tons of different stories and that's why I'm so worried.

Does a real love exist?

Hello!

Does real love exist?

Did you experience it?

In my opinion, it's more like an affection. And often it's rather a sad story.

Should I always listen to doctor's advice?

Hello!

Now it seems that the more doctors I visit, the more diagnoses I have and which is more important - they often contradict each other!

How so? I want to solve some problems, it started from a really small one and now it's getting bigger and bigger!

Hello!

If you had a chance, what would you change in your life?

Is there something that went wrong? At what moment?

Or maybe you would want to be someone else in your new life?

Hello!

I was never diagnosed with GERD but 4 months ago I had my gallbladder removed.

I had a bitter taste even before removal but after surgery it got a bit different. I have unpleasant feelings from time to time, like waves. I had it a few days after surgery, after that, I took ursofalk and it almost disappeared. Until recently.

I noticed it again and I'm again taking ursofalk one a day and alfazoxx to protect the esophagus.

I read scary stories about Barrett's, about cancer possibility. I'm quite depressed to be honest because I know that now I have this physical lack of gallbladder and bile constantly irritates my esophagus.

Still, how to protect it?

I had gastroscopy before surgery (5 months ago) and everything was fine with it. I also didn't have h.pylori.

May things change since surgery? With my current medication, I still feel these waves but they are not so intense. I also have a globus sensation (it also got better with alfazoxx). And I don't know maybe I overcomplicate things but it seems that sometimes when I swallow food I have this burning feeling in throat.

Thank you all for your advice!

Yegoryevsk is a Russian town located approximately 100 kilometers from Moscow.

This town is famous for its industrial style buildings which are similar to industrial buildings in England.

The owners of these factories also had business in England. That's why these builds look similar to those in England. Yegoryevsk is often called Russian Manchester.

It was the first time I visited it. The town is not big and the centre is quite compact. Unfortunately some buildings are in bad condition but they still impressed me.

Hello!

I have very warm feelings towards the United Kingdom. I even was so lucky to visit it once.

I even had a dream about relocation there but it seems now incredibly difficult and for some reason I had to abandon this idea.

But still, I love your culture, coastal towns, those pubs, communities etc...

I'd be really glad to find some friends in the UK (online).

The question in this post is quite simple - how may Brits describe life in the UK?

I know the grass is always greener on the other but still...

Thanks!
