Tldr; I somehow hurt my back and I need something as light as possible to connect to FOH.
Hello guys,
I noticed that NAM A2 gained huge popularity and every week new manufacturer posts that their XY device now supports NAM A2.
What I read is that apparently (based on numbers, blind tests, etc.), NAM A2 is the most realistic model out there. It's open source and there is already tons of captures on TONE3000.
Basically, free, open source and not resource hungry. Perfect.
Currently I'm using Darkglass Microtubes 500v2 paired with DG212N.
(I'm not metal player, but I like Darkglass as a company and I wanted something that it's made completely in Europe (I had Markbass which was too muddy for my taste and I was hearing some strange "glitches"))
I found 4 devices that caught my eyes:
All those devices run NAM A2 natively, Ampero II Stage runs A2 lite, but it's said that full A2 is on it's way.
Anagram feels like most capable device of all above as it was made explicitly for Bass guitar, but I'm not keen to spend 1.111€ for it.
StompStation Pro is device that was made with A2 on it's mind, it's reasonably priced, but there is just not much videos about it (for bass at least). Has anyone tried it? How are the other effects, pedals?
About Flex prime, I heard a lot of good stuff, but again aside A2 capability, I don't know how much useful is for the bass
Ampero II Stage, a lot of people say it's bang for the bucks, great engines etc. But again.....
I want to post this thread to gather information about different modelers, profilers, multi fx pedals, that supports A2, to see how good are they for bass guitar.
In case someone wonders, I play in closed venue in front of 200 people or on open-air stage in front of 5000+ people.
When possible, I will definitely have amp rig, but when there is not really need for it, I would like to have simple, small, light device like those mentioned. I'm using IEM anyway...
Question for the end: Which pedal makes most sense for bass guitar player who wants to be flexible, who wants to use NAM A2, who is willing to replace amp rig for processor and who want's to experiment with different effects?
Cheers!
Pozdrav,

Ekipa,
ty
EDIT: Ronis Čakovec, nez jos po kojoj cijeni
I want to experiment with NAM Live and I ended up with this setup:
* iPad Air M4 * Scarlett Solo * Anker 332 USB - C hub * Lenovo 65W charger - can be changed
I have them connected this way:
* I have connected charger to PD input on Anker (for charging iPad) * I have connected Scarlett to the other USB C port
This worked out immediately, but after some time Scarlett Solo loses power and restarts, after booting up again, it works, but again after some time it resets.
I tried connecting only Scarlett to hub and directly to iPad, in both cases it worked very good. No problem at all!
What I also noticed, while I have connected everything to iPad (Charger, hub and Scarlett) iPad shows that it's charging, but actually it's losing power.
I saw many posts where users had some generic usb hubs and it worked well.
What am I missing?
EDIT: I also tried 40W phone charger with PD, but same thing

So I've been reading a lot about Norway lately and the EV transition there genuinely fascinates me. Going from basically nothing to majority electric in about 10 years is pretty remarkable.
I'm from Croatia and things are moving here too, more and more EVs and hybrids on the road, but there's still a lot of skepticism around going fully electric. The arguments you hear are always the same ones: range drops badly in winter, charging outside cities is still sparse, if you live in an apartment you're stuck, the grid can't handle it at scale.
Curious how much of that actually played out in Norway. was there a period where charging was genuinely a hassle or did infrastructure more or less keep up? And the winter range thing, does it actually affect your daily life or is it one of those things that sounds scarier than it is once you're used to it?
Apartments specifically I'd love to hear about because that one seems like a structural problem that's hard to work around.
And the last question, do you think Norway switched this fast because EVs were genuinely better and cheaper to own, or mainly because the taxes on petrol cars made the choice kind of obvious financially? Do you regret anything?
Asking because I'm trying to figure out which concerns are legitimate and which ones people just stop worrying about after a few months of owning one.
