Lately I’ve noticed that a lot of people are wondering which phone accessory they should get. I’m going to share my experiences below with both.
At the end of the day, I think whatever you prefer will be best for you. So long as you use the case, it’s worth it.
Obviously, both cases have amazing colors and help you use your lip glosses more so. I won’t get into that when comparing.
Lip case
Pros: first off I’ll say this case is iconic. It was a huge contributor to the brand’s rise during its early stages. The case is pretty protective. And it’s cute.
Cons: it is very bulky. It won’t fit in your pocket. In my experience, it contributed to my battery health deteriorating because my phone was constantly overheating with this case on. I’m assuming it’s because it’s so bulky, but I really don’t know.
Once you have the case on for a while, the silicone starts to expand, and the corners will start to slip. On my old phone, this led to me, cracking the corners of my screen because the case was always slipping off at the edge
If you upgrade your phone every year, you won’t be able to use the case anymore and you’ll have to buy a new one.
Snap on
Pros: it’s very easy and convenient to remove. If you upgrade every year, you don’t need to buy a new snap on! I think it’s very cute because I can mix and match with different phone cases. I have also seen people that don’t have iPhones use this.
Cons: it’s very heavy still! It does slide off if you put your phone in your pocket. I lost a snap on while I was in New York:(.
I had one experience where I felt like the magnet was not as strong as it used to be. But that’s just my experience. Others have not had this issue to my knowledge.
Another thing I learned recently, the snap on is long and it covers the lidar sensor on iPhones, which affects photo quality. But you can just take it off if you want to take photos.

At the end of the day, both of these are cute. The prices are not too different now. So buy what you will use! They both have their drawbacks. IMO, the snap on just makes sense because it has more longevity, but the case is iconic

5 laneige - this product is super cute conceptually, but it just didn’t work for me. It doesn’t actually have much color or pigment. And it gunks up on my lips. I get like a white line where my lip waterline meets my actual lips. It’s cute in theory.
6 lush - I wish I got this Collab but I’m low-key not interested in the charm lore
7 glossier - these glosses were all the same color and they were not great. They felt very cheap and sticky
8 monster high/tru fu/jollibee - i’m not interested in dolls or toys and I have never tried the food items
9 pandora - I would never overpay so much for Sterling silver. On top of this, I hear that they’re actually switching to plated silver soon
Overall, I think the clothes are hit. Cosmetics are a miss for me.
I’ve a pretty expensive bracelet on me rn, and it’s not too tight on my wrist. It’s actually the perfect fit. But it just does not come off my hand. I think the base of my palm is swollen or grew. I’ve tried a lot of tactics.
