All songs simultaneously got out of sync because their “beat 0 offset” changed by its own ?

I was making custom songs on Stepmania and Arrowvortex when I noticed a song I imported to Stepmania was out of sync. I was surprised to see the “beat 0 offset on the timer options got changed completely (usually by a 1/2 or 1/4th). I changed it back then I didn’t think much about it afterwards.
Then, as I playtested for the first time a second song I made, the same thing happened. I also changed the offbeat back to normal.
I checked other songs, custom and ones I downloaded from other songpacks, old and new songs alike, and I see ALL of my songs now have the incorrect “beat 0 offset”.

This is incredibly frustrating to think about modifying hundreds of songs one by one to correct something I have no control over.

Is it a bug ? Or something I somehow caused ? If anyone knows what’s going on, I’d love to hear it.

French Transgender History : "Le Carrousel de Paris" and "Madame Arthur", the Parisian cabarets where trans women danced and sang for a living

In honor of Pride Month, it's more important than ever to remember that Pride and LGBT is worldwide ! At a time when a lot of young queers around the world are more knowledgeable of American LGBT history than their own country's, I highly suggest for all of us non-Americans to educate and celebrate LGBT history outside of the everpresent American lens. Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, South America... your history deserves to be celebrated as well, so make your own post, comment and share it !

Since I'm French and trans, I want to present a fundamental part of French transgender history : the "cabarets".

In the 1950s, the cabarets were performance venues where transgender women (called transvestites at the time) could act, sing and dance in front of an audience to hopefully earn a reputation and enough money for medical transition. The women would arrive in front of the cabaret's doors at the great capital of Paris with barely any possession nor connections, prostitution being the only other viable prospect to get by. Sewing their own dresses and perfecting their singing voice, they worked, ate and slept in the cabaret : it was the first glimpse of a "transgender community" at a time where police repression was part of daily life of a transvestite or transsexual (since it was illegal for a male to wear articles of clothing of the opposite sex). Of course, cabarets weren't a perfect haven either. They exploited and sensationalized the performers as "men disguised as women" or exotic beings serving as eye candy for the audience. Nevertheless, this lifestyle enabled some performers to propulse themselves into stardom.

Coccinelle (or Jacqueline Charlotte Dufresnoy), a performer in the Carrousel, would be the first famous French transgender woman making national news. Her first wedding, very shortly after changing her legal sex as female, was heavily mediatized by french tabloids and she made several world tours, most notably in the US and Germany. Other celebrities include Bambi (Marie-Pierre Pruvot), Fétiche (Marie-Pierre Vancallement), Coco, Cappucine, and a lot of other talented trans women.

In 1965, the first French trans organization was founded by old WW2 resistance fighter and Carrousel worker, Marie-André Schwindenhammer : the AMAHO or "Association d'Aide aux Malades Hormonaux", translating to the "association aiding those sick from hormones", would push for the legalization of changing legal documents, create community for trans people, provide medical ressources, and distribute special cards to trans women that would make them able to wear female clothes in public without being arrested.

Only a few years later, in 1971, the LGBT movement in France skyrocketed to hypervisibility with the creation of the FHAR (or Homosexual Front for Revolutionary Action) and the Gouines Rouges. Only then has the modern transgender movement started to emerge, and trans men slowly entered the public consciousness (Tom Rocher, trans man and sociologist, would be cofounder in the 90s of ASB or "Association du Syndrome de Benjamin", Benjamin's Syndrome being an alternative name for transgender identity).

The cabarets still exist to this day in the Paris queer scene, with most of them now featuring queer performances and drag events. They remind us of the highs and lows of early French transgender history : the chatters, the glitter, the sequins and the angelic voices that once resonated through their walls in the middle of the night of the City of Light.

So what about spears in B42 ?

Being a long time veteran, I was surprised with all my B42 runs that I didn’t touch spears even once. I guess I just forgot about them, and it didn’t help that spears basically vanished in recent weapon discussions.
So last night, I made a new save on Extinction with the explicit purpose of discovering all about them, using them and just get a plain feeling about this weapon category after ignoring them since B41.

Right as I start in Valley Station, I noticed the first big change : you don’t use planks anymore, you use saplings. No problem ! It’s a bit more realistic after all, and planks were a bit too easy to come by. So after a few days of stomping and searching, I got lucky and got myself an almost intact hatchet from a zombie. I cut my first tree and boom, sapling. I carve the spear and decided to take this baby for a ride.
I kill 3 zombies before it breaks.
Fine.
I cut down another tree. No sapling. I take down another. Still nothing. I had it on the third try. My hatchet’s handle is barely hanging on, and the axe’s head lost a third of its durability.
I kill 5 more zombies with my second spear.

Now, I’m getting frustrated because I was more efficient in my screwdriver-only run. I think I’d make more of a killing using spoons.
I search up the recipes and best ways to reliably get spears without needing the entire Rosewood fireaxe arsenal at my disposal.

I tried stone axes but the time to make one, compounded by the fact that they seem to cut 2 to 3 trees max, makes it even more tedious.
Another way is to search rakes and mops, but for that I’ll need to kill 20-40 zombies per house to have the CHANCE to get a single spear out of it (and it would kill less than 5-10).
You can make spears more durable by hardening them with fire but you either need to be lucky to get the “wilderness survival” magazine, or you grind to spear LEVEL SEVEN ?!
Now I’m starting to use the wiki and getting in the forums, and the consensus is that the only non-shitty spear is the pitchfork. Great, now I know to spawn in Echo Creek in my next run.

So that’s what is the current sorry state of spears in B42 ? A constant headache of forest decimation, carving and breaking ? Does the developers intend to make the whole spear category more viable, or is this the best we’re ever going to get with one of Mankind’s oldest and most reliable weapon ?
There must be a balance between B41 spears and what we have now, because with the current ones, I don’t see a reason to ever touch them again- which is a feat, because I’m one of those players that don’t even mind sharpening my large knife every 5 kills.

TL;DR In the current state of B42, spears are insanely tedious and unnecessarily expensive to use. There needs to be a better balance between not being overpowered, and being so ass you’re constantly convincing yourself you’d have more fun having a plunger-only run.
