How are people managing 2-3 hours of sleep in 2 naps?

Baby is 7.5 months old and we just started the 3 to 2 nap transition. She exclusively contact naps (my own personal hell) and so far we are sticking with it. But so often even in contact naps she will wake up in 30-40 mins and will not go down again no matter what nanny (and sometimes even me) do. That ends up requiring a 3rd nap or she gets super overtired. She still fights the third nap. So far out of 3 days this week we could only manage 2 naps yday which happened by some miracle because sleep conditions were all the same. How are you getting longer naps to reduce frequency???

How many oz does your 7-8 month old drink?

My baby is going through a bottle aversion for almost 1.5 months now and weight gain has finally slowed down a bit- she was 75th percentile before and is now 65th. Still okay but its mainly due to 2 solid meals and me giving night feeds to make up to get to 20-24oz in 24 hours. My pediatrician is saying this is fine despite the weight gain plateauing. But ive been thinking of adding an early morning feed as we are offering the bottle only 4 times in the day and 5 is okay as per my feeding therapist. That can get us to 25-28oz. She weighs about 18.5 pounds as of last week.

So I wanted to know how much formula does your 7-8 month old drink in 24 hours and in how many feeds?

Is baby ready to drop to 2 naps?

7 month old here. Lots of mini night wakeups where she wakes up and has to be patted back to sleep. We cosleep so its not that hard most nights but she can stay awake sometimes upto 15 minutes. I havent logged feeds but she typically feeds once around 2-3am. I cant drop it as she is going through bottle aversion and we have to make up intake at night a bit as per the therapist. I dont know if she is ready to drop to 2 naps and that will consolidate sleep? It took ages to stretch her wake windows when she dropped from 4 to 3 naps a few weeks ago and she is really tired around the 2:30-2:45 mark already.

Last night I chatted with Barry and it told me she is likely overtired after the last wake window which is causing false starts at bedtime. Asked me to cut last wake window to 2.5 hours. Her third nap was from 4:15-5:30pm. I did wrap up at 2.5 hours and targeted 8pm bedtime but she wouldnt sleep till 8:30pm no matter what I did!

Best reliable online site

Hi! Newbie to rings. Im looking to buy a cushion cut 2 c lab diamond ring with platinum band online and wanted some advice on where to buy and what to look for. If someone has a recommendation for an online retailer I please suggest! I need the ring to be returnable if there are defects. I looked up local jewelry shops and the markup is insane- I was quoted 6k + tax in most places. I do live in a very expensive city so thats part of it but my budget is <3k.

I stopped pumping at 6 months and got my period (well sort of) a month later yday. But its just a little bit of blood, its been 3 days. I only see small specks while wiping and a bit in the pad. Is this normal? My OB asked me to come in for a check when I told them. Appointment is 2 weeks later so wanted to hear experiences here first. What was your experience?

I used huckleberry with my newborn to track sleep and feeds but gave up when things became predictable. Over time though she has become much more sensitive and super prone to overtiredness. She doesnt give sleepy cues at all. Im wondering if logging sleep helps users predict next nap time?

Hey y’all. We just changed nannies (not my preference- previous nanny couldnt give us the hours we needed despite promising it beforehand). I went back to work around the same time. The new nanny was called for 2 hours daily for about 10 days before starting full time to start getting familiar with the baby.

My baby is 7 months now. She is highly alert, has a very sensitive temperament and has always needed help for day naps- rock for about 7-10 mins in recliner and contact naps only. Our previous nanny did this well and had just started the crib transition for 1 nap. My problem with new nanny is that baby screams at the top of her lungs everytime the new nanny tries to put her to sleep. Its been 10 days and every single time there is no improvement. I dont intervene if her cry is the ‘tired cry’, and also wait it out. But if its been 15 mins of crying and its the ‘want mommy’ cry (hysterical, lose your voice cry), I step in, calm her, rock her and once she is asleep I then hand her over.

My nanny is not happy with this and wants the baby to be left to her no matter how long it takes. I get that baby needs time to get used to her but is it okay to let the baby cry hysterically for 20-30 mins just to let her be used to her? The way I think about it- if I have to leave her crying like that for so long repeatedly might as well sleep train her?
