Jon Hamm is the real life Don Draper?
I see pockets of discussion about the parallels and similarities between Don Draper/Dick Whitman’s story and Jon Hamm’s life. But like there are so many it gets strange. Art imitates life or life imitates art?
Of course, there’s the Midwest to big city pipeline. Hamm was the star of his cast, Draper was the star at SCDP. Hamm married someone who was 17 years younger than him, who he met at work, whose name is coincidentally Anna (and portrayed a secretary). Draper married his secretary, who was ~14 years younger than him. Hamm struggled with alcohol abuse, Draper as well. Hamm has a dark past he probably wishes never saw the light of day (hazing incident), as did Draper. Their names…Jon vs. Don.
There are obvious differences in personality and public image but it is almost peculiar that Draper’s life seems to have bled into Hamm’s, or vice versa. A thing like that. Curious for your thoughts
Keratin treatment booked tomorrow, don’t know if should go through with it
Hi! This is my hair right after washing and doing my hair routine (garnier leave in conditioner raked through, not your mothers curl mousse scrunched in, eco argan oil gel scrunched in, and kerastase oil after ~15 mins to scrunch the crunch out). I typically air dry because I don’t notice much of a difference when I diffuse on low heat and air. I use ouidad frizz control shampoo, shea moisture curls conditioner, and various masks and other shampoos based on what I feel my hair needs. At night, I usually just put my hair in a low ponytail and have a bamboo linen pillow case.
I have a keratin treatment booked tomorrow (haven’t decided which one yet, waiting to consult with the stylist), and I am not sure if I should go through with it. As you can see in the picture, I have what I believe is 2c/3a curly hair, and the last time I colored my hair (balayage) was over five years ago. I love my curls when they’re styled well. I don’t want to lose them. However, the frizz gets unmanageable, and I can only get like 1-2 days in before it turns into a poofy, tangled, frizzy mess that takes forever to get looking decent. I love how my hair looks blown out, but not enough to never have my curls at their best again.
I would really appreciate any advice anyone has to offer. Some treatments I’ve researched are Cezanne keratin and hair Botox, but I am not fully convinced on what I should do. Perhaps I need to change my wash or care routine. Literally anything helps and thank you if you have anything to contribute!!
TLDR:
Have a keratin treatment booked tomorrow but not sure if I should go through with it because I love my curls when they’re cooperating, but it’s only so long before it gets frizzy and poofy. Would appreciate anyone’s advice/experience.
