I have $50 guilt free to spend on something for my shop… a tool, a jig, an accessory, whatever…. How should I spend it?
This is for fun so don’t take it too seriously but, I would love to hear your ideas…. How would you spend $50 on your shop if you only had $50 to spend? Just looking for something you would consider the best way to spend $50 in your shop.
I’m a “high level” hobbyist. Been doing it a very long time. But I’m still not wealthy, but I’m also not poor… but woodworking shit is expensive. So, I have to save up for the big stuff, and I have to use consumables sparingly like titebond and sanding disks. I do have to provide for a family and pay a mortgage and other bills before spending on myself in the shop, so I tend to be conservative when spending on my shop.
But I just got given $50 in visa gift cards from a guy I did a favour for (I let him drive his tractor through my yard to access the area he was working on and he did a bit of damage).
It’s completely guilt free money and my wife says I can spend it on whatever I want. So, I just wanna get something for my shop.
Putting it towards a larger item like a new bandsaw is boring, since I need about $1800 so $50 is just a drop in the pond.
I’m asking you, Reddit woodworkers, if you had $50 and only $50 to spend on your shop, what would you buy?
