Filed 12/24, finally approved 8/26
Radio silence on our case from January 2025 until June 2026. Spouse’s country is not on any lists or memos. No unauthorized work, overstay less than 180 days. No criminal history, prior marriages, run-ins with the law in any way.
What finally worked was congressional inquiry one month prior to interview being scheduled. Received an API update on the same day as their response and interview was scheduled the next day. We had two lawyers and both told us contacting congress would not help.
Our interview was quick and smooth, and we were lucky to have an adjudicating officer who seemingly reviewed our file in its entirety prior to our interview.
10 year green card in the end.
Just wanted to share our timeline to hopefully send some encouragement to anyone else waiting from 2024. Good luck to everyone!

youtu.beMissing Contact upgrades?
I abandoned a planet for a while (open world) and came back to it on a new character to find that all the remaining operations are locked, and I’ve already completed every available operation on my contact device.
I need to use an upgrade device to unlock the rest of the missions, but it’s nowhere to be found and I can’t redo the mission to unlock it again.
Is there any way to get another upgrade device? I’m not sure which one it is - whichever one is first. I can edit the save file if needed but would prefer to do it a normal way if there is one.
Thanks!
腊肉 with a dehydrator?
I can’t find any decent 腊肉 where I am and it’s pretty far from the season to hang it outside.
Has anyone made it with a dehydrator? With the high temperature and quick dehydration time of the machine, does it still produce a similar end result? And if not, would a dry ager with a fan inside work if I’m willing to spend the money for one?
Looking for an open world game with a lot of building included. I’m down with both themes, and recently went back to No Man’s Sky as my daily driver.
I’m a soulslike fan, so I like combat and difficult games, but also enjoy more laid-back gaming (loved towers of aghasba). I loved sea of thieves and enjoyed crimson desert. Ark was reasonably high up on my list of survival games, but I was not a fan of enshrouded due to exploration limitations.
Hoping that one of these will hold me over to Subnautica 2, and am not really expecting to dump a thousand hours into it so I’m fine with a bit of jankiness (hence considering early access).
Which of these two would be the better choice? Thanks!
