We are in Garment Chemical business, until June and sometime July everything was just booming, we were signing a bigger lease hiring more etc etc
Its been a month and half things have come to point where theres literally nothing to do, everything seems to be at halt. No orders, no leads materialization even customers are saying that they dont have nothing.
We had to let people go, pause our plans and just get to a survival mode.

We sell mostly to US however tariffs are not affecting us, but in my 5 years of business in North America, I have never seen things getting so slow.

Is it just us or is it something with other industries aswell?

Does anyone know where can I get spray in bedliner, tonneau cover and running boards done on my ram 1500? I checked action auto parts, they are too expensive.

I am having a real hard time finding sales people to hire. As an ink supplier we are expanding, we are looking to hire outside sales rep team across US and its not been easy.
We are looking for people in Blank Garment or Print related industry and it looks like they are suddenly no where.

Tried posting on LinkedIn, reaching out colleagues etc. Tried to discuss with recruitment agencies but the costs for their services are sky high with no guarantees of retainment.

If I go and hire fresh talent, its a long road to train and have them convert business which I cannot afford at this point.

How do you all look for people to join in your team, what platforms have worked best for you?

I am an immigrant business owner in Canada. I started off 3 years ago and from day 1 been doing business with RBC. Due to my temporary status I didnt get any Credit Card or LOC which was ok.

Now I have a permanent status in Canada and the business is doing ok, we are doing $700000 in annual revenue.

We donot have savings in account but do have this turnover all going through RBC or in some cases WISE (paypal USD payments go to wise).

We deal in both USD and CAD, and now I am looking for Credit Card and Line of Credits, RBC to my surprise is not offering until now.

What do you suggest I should do? Open a new account with another bank?

Or where do we need to update that our status has changed from work permit to PR?

Such as SIN number, banks, what else?

I know a relative who came to Canada in October 2025 on their visit Visa and applied for their claim to protection within 3 days of arrival. They were even set for hearing and received a date in April 2026. However just a week before they received a notice that they may not be eligible due to new bill C12 and later got an ineligibility letter.

They have visited Canada before and left within a reasonable time frame abiding the law. Immigration services are taking her first date of entry to Canada as her “date of entry”, the date when she first came to visit Canada and went back when there were no issues and need for filing this claim.

I was wondering if there are any resorts here in Ontario, that have some amenities for kids and adults.

I would ideally like to stay in a good resort and just spend 2 days within, some where with good restaurants, amenities etc

Probably not possible here but something close to the resorts that we find at tropical destinations.
