she uses coconut oil for massaging her hair every Sunday.

she thinks that Henna m8ght have caused further greying of her hair.

I Cannot do gelco and house staff is threatening to report me to the HOD.

I am an intern doing a replacement for a fellow batchmate ,

My first duty was night duty which began at 8 pm and will end at 8 am . So everything was going well and good. When at 3 am a patient comes to the surgery ward with complaints of fever , vomiting, and pain in the left lower quadrant .

Earlier in the emergency she was given

inj pan , inj diclo, inj ondem and inj drotin but the patient did not get any relief .

So naturally I called my housestaff and he replied with an agitated accent to give her Tramadol via iv.

I do not know how to do gelco and I asked the nurse to attempt it but she was already forcing me to do gelco but since the patient was a pediatric age group I did not take the risk .

The nurse attempted two times but failed and asked me to call the housestaff.

During that time the housestaff started yelling at me why I took night duty if I didn't know how to do gelco and he threatened me to report me and all. I am scared man. I know interns get yelled at a lot but our surgery dept is so toxic that they will tend to exaggerate everything and make a wildfire out of nothing. I will get called out in our College WhatsApp group and everybody will know me for a incompetent intern who took a night duty for the greed of money (but I am not taking any money , i considered it for mutual exchange later ).

I don't know man my night is ruined my whole week is ruined , I wanted to do something good for a batchmate and instead am going to get scolded for not knowing something which i could not get the opportunity to learn.

I should have gone home instead I am regretting everything.

(Edit) I did one day of duty now I don't know whether I should continue with his other days. There was one night this week and the following days there will be opd , ad day , morning duty .

This was not my duty I took it up on my own whim learnt dressing , blood drawing blood requisition report filling.

Only one person was there to help me out throughout and no one came forward. Since it is more of a headache than a learning opportunity I think I will ask my batchmate to appoint some one other replacement who has gone through the clinical duties.

Got my Asics pair today

The shoes look even more amazing than the pics shown online and legit it is so light .

When i first got the box from the delivery guy ...I was suspicious as to why these are so light as compared to the size of the box ....but when I got the authenticity checked....I was so relieved.

Coming from a middle class family we always had to think about what to buy and what not to buy. I have got only two shoes which are both of asian so they don't cost as much as this pair got today. Even though buying that was difficult i had to wait for some special occasion.

Now jumping to a whooping 5000 rupees shoes is a great leap. I hope this motivates me to run even more.

Below are the pics of the shoes

Just finished reading The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty

Picked up this book on a whim . Once saw a movie and forgot about it .

I think the book will be well understood by someone who knows psychiatry. Overall the flow of the story is great and the profound description makes you believe that you are actually present there. There are some dialogues written and especially the last page .

What I did not like was that the author finishes the exorcism part in a rushed manner , the pace was normal in the first half and when they confirm that it was a case of possession, from that point onwards it feels a lot rushed.

The first part I mean the prologue part i did not understand that , what was the meaning behind that .

What happened actually with Merrin ?

What actually happned when the demon got violent with Father Karras ...the transition part ...why would he jump ?

Also I did not feel any weirdness or any fear from reading the book. One part caught my attention when he author describes the spider walk, also when the daughter shows that something is clearly wrong with her in the party ...where she urinates on the rug.

Don't know what I will read next.

What is sickly sweet smell?

We have our internship going on and right now I have Forensic medicine.

Various types of bodies come for post mortem and not many of them come in a good condition. Some of them start decomposing while some show signs of bloating and all.

Deaths are of various causes - drowning, railway track injury, road traffic accident, rape , homicide , snake bite , burn ....

Most of the bodies are not in very good conditions like some of them are mangled , head missing , cut in half and some of them are in good condition and can be identified.

During my fmt rotation we were advised by seniors to wear 3 masks because of the smell and they were not exaggerating like the smell is so strong and so bad like a sewage would be better smelling than that.

A case hung with me today . It was a male of road traffic accident with broken facial bones and multiple lacerations with rigor mortis . The person who was in charge of dissecting bodies asked us two interns to come after he had done with dissecting the bodies like many of us cannot see the dissection because it is done in quite a gruesome manner (head is broken open with multiple blows of chisel and hammer ) .

When we got there - there was this unbearable smell which could roughly be described as a rotten smell with a sweet smell mixed in. Somewhat sickly sweet . I was thinking of that smell for quite some time but after writing a post mortem report we got into talks with our fmt professor as it was our last day.

Then what happens surprises me to a greater extent -

I could smell that exact odour as I was coming out of my college. I had never smelt that odour in my life and I go daily by that route and I had never smelt it before. Okay it might be fatigue - i brush it off....

After lunch as I was alone in my room in the afternoon i again got that odour. I even checked my surroundings to check if there is any sign of garbage or not or dead animals or something.

At night before writing this post I got that smell again and not like other time - this time I could smell it more stronger and with clarity. Suddenly I saw my surroundings two windows which I had covered with nets show signs of insects crawling. And they were in huge amounts. That scared me the most. This is not even Deepawali time.

Here is an attached image of insects.

I dont know - is it auditory hallucinations.....who knows.?

I am listening to hanuman chalisa now.

Good night

Recommend me a perfume that smells good and does not annoy anyone when wearing it in office and closed spaces

I have been lurking the Indian perfume addicts subreddit for recommendations for perfume and man the name of perfume is odd like rasasi , havas , 9pm and what not. I don't mind the name of perfumes but the problem is that there are too many complications people themselves say that many highly reviewed perfumes which don't get them any compliments, and annoys the people they work with like smelling like Parachute coconut oil, mortein coil, santoor soap.

I am not looking for compliments I just want to smell a little good and don't want to annoy anyone also I don't want to spend thousands of rupees on perfumes. I have been reading about perfumes and man they are complex like spillage , projection , decant and whatnot

This is not a dig at any perfume lovers I just want to buy a good perfume.
