Anyone else going to Haunt the Readers this weekend? 👀👻

The author/panel lineup is exciting, I’m trying to fit in one more read from a new-to-me writer. Here’s the attendees (I’m bringing books to sign from Nick Cutter, Marcus Kliewer, Saratoga Schaeffer, Mike Bockoven, Alex Gonzales, Aron Beauregard and Kristopher Triana) but would love to discover a great new horror read before attending !! Also N/A, just a horror fan going on her own dime for fun

grocery stores or markets with best kimchi selection besides H&L?

i can’t trust myself to step foot there for just one item because i inevitably go insane and have no self control. i ONLY need kimchi but i don’t like costco or trader joe’s options and am a bit picky. are there any local grocers, markets, farmers markets or vendors that sell a decent variety of kimchi? i know it’s a long shot but hoping my fellow spicy fermented food lovers can help out :’)

solo trip - will Coco Beach Club day passes sell out?

Will be boarding Harmony of the Seas for the first time as a solo woman and comparing Hideaway Beach adults only to Coco Beach. I just want to read and eat some good food and float in the water with drinks and I recall Hideaway being loud and party centric.

My cruise is early September and I’m seeing the costs are pretty varied- right now a solo pass to Coco Beach for one is almost $200. At that rate I’d almost rather hang on the ship, but wanted to gut check if passes will sell out or if it’s likely the costs will go down? Weighing my options now as I finalize my cruise plans. Thanks all!!

horror with a strong pub/tavern setting?

hi horrorlit fam. a bit of a specific request but i loved a novella called Eerie Basin by Ivy Pochoda, which was an unsettling horror story that took place in a brooklyn dive bar. I LOVED the atmosphere of that, and got a similar satisfaction from Hard Luck Jenny by David Sodergren as well as D7 by Philip Fracassi. all 5 stars for me. Something about a seedy, dark environment with sticky floors and pub lighting that i just adore.

What else would I love with a similar setting?
