Line Broke 56 Day Deferral

Well I had my first big issue today. Felt great going into to donate and everything was going pretty good. I switched to my right arm from my left because that arm is starting to need a break. Told the tech with my right arm usually the machine has to be down a couple speeds from the highest or it doesn't work and he got it all set up and the donation started off great. During my second cycle it wasn't seeming to work when I was pumping but it's happened before and usually needs a minute to kick in. All of the sudden the machine stopped and made a loud beeping noise and I assumed that there was a bubble and it was all good. Until the guy beside looked down and said "oh shit". And then the kid across from me started to freak out a bit. I looked at my machine and one of the lines broke and spilled a decent amount of blood on the floor and the machine. Thankfully none got on me or the person beside me. That then cued a bit of calm panic from center staff as they got me a Gatorade, wrapped my arm and made me sit in the chair for 15 minutes to hang out. Long story short can't donate for 56 days because there's no way to know how much blood I lost. Still got paid and they were very apologetic about the situation. I was super chill (shout out Lexapro) and chugged two gatorades and went home. Only bad side affect was feeling a bit nauseous but I think that was from downing 48oz of Gatorade in about 15 minutes.

What's Going on Here?

What's that part of the cloud that is like touching the ground? I'm very confused but very curious. For context I'm in Iowa it's about 80 with 70% humidity.

2026 Catcher Brett Harris flips to Iowa from Mississippi

Repost because my tired brain can't phrase correctly:
Brett Harris is a catcher from Iowa who flipped his commitment to Iowa after having his scholarship rescinded from Mississippi despite being a 4 year commit. A potential role in the change could be the new 5 in 5 legislation, but it is worth knowing Brett has had ongoing radiation due to a brain tumor. Not the best timing considering Brett is finishing his high school baseball career and was supposed to start college in a month. Thankfully Brett was able to teach out to Iowas coaching staff and offered a spot. Brett's older brother Calvin played for Mississippi but has spent the last few years practicing in Iowas indoor facilities with some minor league teammates. Great pick up for Iowa keeping this kid in the state. Unfortunate the cards he's been dealt, but he'll be a great player with his work ethic and persistence. Kind of a bad look for Mississippi .

Dubuque St Construction

As someone who lives off of Dubuque St, I'm begging yall to please slow down on the side streets. I've almost been hit and watched and an old man on his bike nearly avoid getting hit on Bloomington because people are flying through the st and not paying attention. I get the construction is inconvenient but can we at least be safe as we take detours.
