About 6 weeks ago I suddenly began to experience very dry skin on my face. I use Versed products. I use a their thick barrier cream every single night. I even bought the estriol anti aging cream from Musely and put Aquaphor over it but I was allergic to the Musely. I drink a ton. I’m on HRT (E and P). Does this mean I need to up my E dosage or does anyone have any skincare suggestions? My face just constantly feels tight and dry no matter how much I moisturize! It’s driving me nuts.
I started my T today. It’s a compounded cream from an online provider and it’s the lowest dose available. I was fine until about 2 hours after I applied. I got anxious and kinda dizzy and just felt really weird. Now I’m reading that can happen and I’m super disappointed. Anyone else have this experience and did you stay on it or not?
The past several days I’ve been experiencing what I usually say is a cystocele flare up. Pain in the urethra (I have a urethral prolapse too fun times) and having to pee alll the time. I also have a rectocele so usually if that’s flaring or I’m having gastro issues (thanks hEDS and POTS and MCAS) the cystocele flares up and I call them “pee attacks”. I’m just worrying it’s more than that. My pee smells weird, like acrid. I don’t have a fever or other UTI symptoms but still. Anyone else deal with something like this?
Did anyone experience spotting or abnormal periods on Divigel? I’m just wondering if it’s normal in the beginning or when going up in dose and did it go away later? I had a period two weeks ago that lasted 10 days which is long for me (very light not heavy) but then 2 days ago I started seeing pink when wiping. I like the gel and it works much better than the patch for me. I am on 200mg progesterone as well.
I heard about estrogen injections and I wonder does anyone in here do this? It’s bio identical estrogen supposedly and it bypasses the liver and apparently it’s superior in the fact that the dose is completely controlled.
I was recently Dx with hEDS by a genetic doctor back in March. I just had a cardiologist appointment and he told me to “eat lots of salt and drink 3 liters of water” while I wait for my tilt table test. What is “a lot of salt?” I’ve always been a salt lover. I was getting chastised my entire life for over salting foods. So how much is “a lot of salt”? And if I don’t have an official diagnosis is this ok to do? He also told me to wear compression socks? Do these really help? For reference I’m a 51yo female and I’m also in perimenopause (yay me) and my doctor is within the Duke University Network of medical professionals.
I recently bought a bunch of different Ikoo products from WhatNot. The claim is “German brand based on Chinese medicine” I noticed the shampoos and conditioners seem to be made in Greece. I’m extremely sensitive to many products and just wondering if anyone has any input on this brand?
So I’m in perimenopause and I was finally diagnosed with hEDS just a few months ago at age 51. Unbelievable that zero of my multiple doctors suggested it considering all my issues! Anyway, is anyone else in perimenopause and how is it affecting you and do you have any advice?
