[Online][CofD][18+][LGBTQ+ Friendly][Wednesdays] Promethean: the Created 2e game seeks one player to explore the Dust Bowl!

Greetings! I am Ferret, the Facilitator for this game! I have two players looking to play Promethean: the Created and I am looking for one additional player to join my pals in this game of discovering humanity and gaining it for yourself.

This game of Promethean: the Created starts in 1932 in Arabela, New Mexico where our unlucky homunculi will meet each other. There is much more information in the pitch proper, as is the form needed to apply for the game.

Here is the pitch and the application form!

This game is 18+, a Chronicles of Darkness 2e game, will take place on Discord for voice, Foundry for sheets and rolls, and G-drive for notes and such.

The game itself is Wednesday nights starting at 7 PM CDT time and going for around 3 hours a session.

I have run one Promethean game to the New Dawn before and it took about 10 months so I'm expecting something of a similar length as well. Looking forward to hearing from all you nerds out there!

Help with my apartment management dragging their feet (Bedbugs)

I live in Phoenix Towers. I know what a lot of people here think of the place but after my last place it has been a balm and boon to me for a few years.

That was until a new neighbor moved in about three months ago and brought bedbugs into the apartment. I thought it was fleas at first (the neighbor has two dogs and I found some fleas at first) but eventually I started finding bedbugs, as did other neighbors.

This month the management hired Reed's Pest Control who only fogged the rooms of those effected. I've read that fogging is very hit-or-miss for bedbugs but also very cheap. The Pest Control have been by my place twice but not actually killed the bedbugs.

I'm going on 2 weeks after I informed them, again, that I still have bedbugs. They stated they would call Pest Control but it didn't get done for a full business week and this week they kept "canceling" on the apartment. I still have bed bugs. I have told them, every day, I have bed bugs. They don't seem to care anymore now that they're limited to my room.

I need help with services that can get them off their butts and DO something. Is there some disability services I can call, some city services, or something else? I'm relatively new to Bloomington and have no idea who to turn to for help.

The last time I spoke to my Aunt

The last time I spoke to my Aunt I was in my early twenties, maybe closer to mid twenties. At the time I identified as a cismale gay man (which is a bit different these days but not the point). My mother had always been raised to be the whipping post of the family and, so, I suffered a lot of verbal and some physical abuse at the hands of my extended family. It started because I was of mixed race and got worse as I grew up and came out as queer and just otherwise too different from these Southern Good Ol' Boys and Gals. Me being Family made them look bad, or so they felt.

With that bit of set up, the last time I spoke to my Aunt was a Thanksgiving where my family was going to use my Aunt and Uncle's lakeside cabin (my mother had and I had been discovered by a child she had put up for adoption that year) and my Aunt was in a foul mood. She hated when anything good happened to our family, and this was like winning the lottery when my mom's "mistake" turned out to be a successful, loving daughter who wanted to reconnect.

So, she corners me while I'm getting my stuff ready and offers me something. I look over and see some pamphlet with "The Rainbow is for God, not Gays" on it and knew it was a Conversion Camp bullshit or something in the same vein.

"I'm not in the mood for this, [Aunt]. I'm busy and going to hang out with my sister!"

"But, does she know what a shame you are? You don't want to disappoint your new family do you?"

"Look, she knows. She's cool. Now, quit being mean. If you continue, I'll be mean back. And I'm much better at it than you are."

I had spent years taking this woman's abuse, her carelessness, her crassness, and then she looked at me and said "I guess your sister can at least make your mother proud."

To which I turned to her, smiled, and said, "At least my mom can keep two children alive. Sucks about [Cousin], huh?"

Her eyes widened, she began to bawl and snot and spit began running down her face. She attempted to hit me but she was so dazed and stunned it missed.

To note, her son, whom she had kept from any therapy or help, had had a drug problem in life. She signed him out of his own imposed Rehab program because "Of what the neighbors would think." He had not lasted much longer before ODing after that.

I've never spoken to her since and my Mom, after finding out what I said, never attempted to make me go back to see that part of the family again nor have I really wanted to.

To this day, I'm fine with how we ended things. My Aunt is vile and I feel no regret over having said what I said.

Hope it brings some entertainment to y'all.

[Online][WoD][DAV20][LGBTQ+ Friendly][Wednesday or Thursday] A coterie must form to go Against the Baali!

You there, do you have a desire to play a Vampire? Do you have a desire to play a Vampire in a time and place not this one? Do you also just not like those fiendish Baali? Well, this game may be perfect for you!

My name is Danny and I'm an old hat at running WoD games. Been doing it since VtM 2e. I've run many different games against many different types of enemies but have decided to put together a little, shorter campaign of Dark Ages Vampire 20th edition that will specialize in stopping a major plot of these devious demon cultists. We'll be using V20 Core, DAV20 Core, some STV content, and my own curation and homebrew for the game to make a full flavored feel of bloody vampirism.

I want to run a good sized, but goal oriented campaign to get the feel for new players to see if we'll fit in for longer chronicles in the future. I have one player currently interested in this game, perhaps a second, but would still need to gather a few others.

That said, I have some more information based on the game and what will be expected!

This campaign will be likened to older adventures such as Bitter Crusade or Under the Black Cross where the characters will have a base of operations but will be expected to travel and perhaps risk Backgrounds, Ghouls, and even Unlife to stop the Baali. You'll be based in Rouen, France for the game and can easily gain a plethora of Backgrounds detailing the area just by going along with the story, much less sidequests. However, you will be traveling so plan Backgrounds accordingly for what'll apply to other areas. Because of traveling, everyone will get a free purchase of the Multi-Lingual Merit because several languages will be necessary in the game. You'll come to discover a Baali plot while in Rouen for a festival and this will set down the dominoes which will lead to the rest of the game.

For sessions, they will last around 3 hours per session and on Wednesdays could start at Noon - 2 PM American Central Time. On Thursdays (the likely day) they could start anywhere from Noon to 4 PM Central Time. This is best for Europals and North Americans on night shifts I find.

Every person who wants to apply to this game must do so independently. I will not accept a single application for 2+ people. I also am very unlikely to pick a pair or group who are a set in stone package. I also have a strong preference for people who have played VtM before but can work with newbies or those who have played different editions or not Dark Ages specifically.

With that said, the majority of the information (I know, this isn't it?) is in the pitch document you can find right here! Just note that players must be 18+, queer+ friendly, not use generative AI, and must be cool people (I am fiercely bigoted against assholes).

The last bit of info here is that all books I'll be using for this game will be provided to players, in PDF form, at no cost to them. Please don't dig in wikias unless you're old hat at this - AI has ruined so much!

Welcome there and apologies in advance for the text to come. I hope to format it so it isn't just a damn wall/glut of information.

What is this game?

A V20 game of Sabbat Sect Vampires. In Session 0 you'll be Embraced, I'll choose what Clan or Bloodline you get (with some input from you) from the allowed types and what makes sense in our game. In the Prologue you and your Pack-to-be will assault Disney World. In Act 1 y'all will infiltrate Camarilla Jacksonville and destabilize it for the Sabbat. In Act 2 you'll deal with a newly Sabbat-ized Jacksonville and more monstrous politics. In Act 4 you'll have a cleanser of a finale Crusade against Tallahassee to claim all of Florida for the Sabbat.

Can you tell me more about the game/a deeper pitch?

Here you go! Click this!

What limits are there?

No dead/lost Clans/Bloodlines, not every V20 book published is in use, some STV content, all books we'll use will be provided PDF wise.

No Generative AI for character backgrounds or "art."

LGBTQ+ friendly, BIPOC friendly, Femme/Woman friendly, and disability/neurodivergency friendly are a must.

18+ for players, with a preference for 21+.

Platforms

Foundry for sheets and rolls, Discord for voice.

Day & Time

Thursdays at 1 PM American Central Time. I adjust to Noon or later to 4 PM CST for a 3 hour session once a week. Time slots in Form.

What type of players are you looking for?

People who are experienced with V20 or older editions hopefully, people who are willing to do actual reading and sometimes note taking, people looking to play this game not just a game.

Sweet, how do I apply?

Go here, click this!

Anything else?

I am not making this first come, first serve. I have two players already and am looking for about 2 - 3 more. I will be statting out Camarilla Vampires for the first Act and will start reaching out to potential players when I am closer to done to finishing this aspect!
