My learning chassis:
Currently an LPB1 layout with an emitter bypass and 3-way visible LEDs. I have more plans for it (and others) but have enjoyed it immensely.. next phase is an MPSA13 cascaded into the original 2n5088. Im going to add a clip-lift and try to get a little more definition between the clipping levels.
Just picked up the EH Allied Overdrive for 55% off ($79USD). If youre in the market, its a very flexible pedal for a steal.
Added the black label TU-3w and OC-2 for a steal from a nice, but poorly informed pawn shop. I also didn't really NEED another delay but the Two Timer spoke to me. I run the top row on the effects loop. Im still working on a board layout but ill probably just slap some plywood together and spend on the power brick(s). The seven knob box at the bottom is a valve stem od tube zone clone, above that is a 3 way visible led clipped lpb1 im adding a darlington pre-booster to. The 3 knob with toggle is a rangemaster circuit sporting a 2n2222 and a 2n3904 cascade instead of the typical germaniums. The AlphaBoost is another modded lpb-1 getting a germanium pre-booster and has 3 different clipping levels.
First big kid guitar. Coming off a worn but servicible squire, this is a totally new experience. It plays so easily and fits very well. The finish is great and everything arrived well sorted. New strings are great but the factory ones weren't terrible. I really love the look but when I spent a little time on it I was hooked.
For real tho: PSR McCarty 594. This seems like a cool community but between my geriatric posting skills and AI Identification extremists, take it for what its worth. I paid $450 for this from my neighbor; Or, I paid retail at Guitar world. Who fuckin cares.... I have it, it sounds great and plays better than I ever will. Close call between this and a nice Revstar.
keeping the grippers toasty with ole Matty Groves on the graeyle-maeykre but the fookin victrola sits 7 hands high and me gams are paying the price...
